7 months and couple of days here with no probs. at all with the joystick.
I was a former owner/user of K700 but I got it stolen from me, as far as I can recall, it's the same joystick.

@ Techno man
Do you mean turning off the key press sounds? Well you can do that. Go to settings>sounds and alerts tab>key sounds and chose silent.
About memory it depends on what u want. Im from NZ and I spent $200 on a 1GB memory stick and have about 230+ mp3 songs on it. Thats over 900mb.
I have lots of different ringtones and message alert sounds, games and a couple of applications, vids and themes on the phone memory. Still have 18mb of phone memory.
I try keep some memory free on the mem stick for photos and stuff. I always end up deleting some songs for other songs because of this.
Now a 2gb mem stick in NZ cost 200 bucks same as what I paid for a 1GB 8 months ago. I think 2gb is a good size to get but theres gonna be a 4gb coming out. Either wait and get the 4gb or wait till its release and maybe 2gb price will drop. Look on your oz websites or check stores for prices.

Well, it's neither that straight forward -just plugging the USB cable and whooop the contacs will pop up in front of you- nor it's hard to do so.
You'll need to have your phone PROPERLY installed on your PC first -check my post addressed to "MYSTER-E" down this posting to know how to install your phone on your PC-, then just plug the USB cable, open "Start" menu -then open "All Programs" if running Win XP-, open "Sony Ericsson" then "Sync Station" and then click on "Settings".
Now check the option "Synchronise" in "Contacts" bar and click "OK", now follow the same root mentioned above and click on "Synchronise", now all your phone contacs will be loaded into the default contacts/phone book program installed in your PC -whether Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express-.
There are some options you can play with in "Settings", check them out before starting the sync. process.

Honestly I don't know a way/method to check whether if your phone is able to log online/use the GPRS connection without loosing some credit, you know I just have the GPRS settings installed on my K750 the second day of buying it and I don't actually remember where it used to tell me to set the GPRS settings to tell you to play in there.
Just try to open "PlayNow" feature, if it were opened, then you have the proper complete settings already installed on your device, if it didn't, just go to SE web site, select your region, country and language, go to support, select "K750" then look around for Internet, WAP and MMS settings, I don't remember the names of these packages but as far as I can recall it's in something named "phone setup".
After receiving the packages from SE site click OK in the installation confirmation, then call your service provider and they will send you similar packages, also install them and you're done.
Unidentified
Yes and No.
Yes, you'll get the flight mode when you update the firmware into a W800 one.
No, you'll not get that any more cause SE latest firmware updating application prevents you from updating/flashing a K750 into a W800 firmware.
MYSTER-E
First you'll have to install your phone on your PC, check my post to "maani" in my posting in page 4 to know how to install your K750 into your PC -first check that your PC meets the minimum requirements found on the bundled CD envelop-.
Second, to view a video on a K750 screen, you'll need to convert that video into MPEG4 (MP4) format or 3GP format -MP4 is recommended mostly- using any video converting application -if you don't know any, start with MpegAble X4 Live and ImToo-, not only converting the format but also scaling the resolution down to 176*144 is required in order to be able to watch/view any video smoothly on a K750 screen -just read these guide lines to know what you need to do http://3gp.spawnweb.dk/ -.
Third, after completing first and second, follow the steps provided by "Techno madman" to copy the videos into your K750.
HAVE FUN.

It's normal, if you noticed when you're writing your post, you'de find the same happens, or writing a word document also the same will happen.
It's pretty normal thing, without going into boring techniqal stuff, you can't have the line/force it to take more than it can accept, say it can accept 50 characters and you wrote 45 in it, but there's still one more word to be written which is 7 characters, the line will accept another 5 characters but once you enter the 6th letter, the editing program/codes -with its AI identifying that the 6th letter is still a part/member of the word being writen since no space is entered- will automatically send the whole word to the following line leaving the 5 characters left as empty space.
Bottom line is, what you say is normal.
techno madman
No, since you can't do anything before your Windows load, the same case in here, plus when you switch off the phone and switch it back on, the volume is automatically decresed to it's half/medium level, the tune is hardly audible.
I'm not in Australia, so I can't help.

OK, good bye & bye bye, nice seeing you.

The same question, propably with the same exact words and grammer -have you copied it ??- has been answered couple of days ago.
Check my post addressed to "Sunny" in my posting in page 4 -and if you clicked the link, make sure to remove the extra "-," from the Address bar.

to MYSTER-E
you no the cord that you got with the fone well plug that into the computer and to your fone and there will either be a screen that says this disk or device contains more then one type of content, if that doesnt come up go into my computer and click on removable disk n ur removable disk is the memory stick in the fone.
if u go with the first option scroll down till u find the option to open folder to view files and press. now u will have a screen that has the option
-DCIM(which is your camera photos)
-MP3(click on that n click n drag music into there
-MSSEMC
click on MSSEMC then it will come up with media files and system click on media files now u will have a hole bunch of funky stuff in fornt of u like audio theme image bla bla and there will b a folder that says video click on that then open up anothermy documents and drop the video u want there
also if there are other things like if u wanna put images on urfone or wateva jus do the same thing except click image not video
when u have safely removed ur hardware(vital you do that or u cood lose data) go into menu click on file manager and go into videos and voila

"my joystick stopped working but i fixed it by blowing out all the dust and wiggling it round a bit."
Exactly! :D That's what I do too. Occasionally I just blow out the dust and play around a bit and so far no problems, I don't know in the future :)
Anyway I am very happy with this phone. BIG UPGRADE, my old phone was 3310 Nokia. LOL
@doul, I have noticed sometimes when I type an SMS, the lines are not aligned properly in the EDIT mode -- that is -- while you type the SMS. Looks like the second line of the sms starts one character further more then the first line and when you try to move the line one character back -- that is when you delete the empty character, it instead joins the line with the first one. Strange. This only happens in EDIT mode, otherwise it is displayed properly. It's not a biggy, I am just wondering whether someone else experiences the same thing and why it happens? Probably a bug?

@ Kris
I actually had to take my sim card out today. When I first got my k750 I thought it was imposible to get it out.
Just press your thumb on top of the sim and gently slide it out (really as easy as it sounds).
