Who said that you can't set WAV files as ring tones ??
You can use WAV files as normal as you can use any MP3 file -setting it as ringtones, messages alerts, alarm signals and contact ringtone- as long as that WAV file has an audio sample rate of 16 KHZ at MAXIMUM.
That means that you can also play it back in the media player normally.

get out of screen saver/clock mode by pressing the back key -or by pressing * then (Unlock) right soft key if you have the key bad locked- and then press one of the two volume keys on the right side of phone, a "Phone status" menu will be opened indicating the "Free memory" on the shared memory and the "Memory Stick", if you can't see the line of "Memory Stick" free space then your phone can't identify the MS and you should replace it.
If you can see the status of the MS then it's working properly and nothing wrong with it.
To copy/move files into it, just select those files and click "More", then go to "Manage files" and click on "Copy/Move to ext.mem".
The blue & black phone icon and the white MS icon beside each file indicates where that file is stored in.

I got your point straight, I just mixed up with you and "zendrix", he was the one who faced the issue of not working installed applications, not you.

If you're sure that you got all the GPRS packages from both SE web site and your service provider installed on your phone, then "Nicole" is making a point here, only if she really meant the describtion "sometimes" !.
Some unidentified one says that he hates something yet he is NOT ONLY owns a single unit of that thing -then selling it just when he found that it doesn't fit his/her profile- but he also got a second unit !! -for I can't really stomach the idea of bying two units of the same exact thing at the same time, this isn't an SLI/CrossFire system you know !-, not only that, but he actually STILL own them till now !!
WTG person, Very brilliant indeed :S
If you're a husband and buy two devices of the same thing for you and your wife, just remember not to fall into the same mistake again !

@DoUL, You might might understood my post. I said my programs install perfectly when I drop them to Phone Memory/Phone Memory/Other. I just drop the "jar" files there and then using the phone I go to File Manager->Other and the program appears there. I just select it and click Install on the phone :) Works flawlessly.

Maybe that's the reason of the application installing failure from the beginning, that you don't have enough memory for the application to be installed in.
You know the install-shield package is always compressed, and that compression is extracted in the installation process.
Try to free some space and give it a try, or maybe it failed to install it just because the package was corrupted.

Connect the phone to your PC, open the folders that contains the files which you want to delete -whether from the "Removable Disk" if those files were stored in the MS or from the "Sony Ericsson File Manager" if they were stored in the shared memory-, simply select them and click delete.

Video resolution has nothing to do with the price, resolution simply is the width and hight of the videos that are played on your screen.

First, the joystick is very sensitive, seems to me that you're simply not touching it but FIGHTING with it with your thumb -that's why it aches you-, just try to tough it very smoothly and it will react to your touch very nicely -if you're still having the down direction not working then the joystick either were a faulty unit from the beginning or you just ruined it with your hard pushing, either ways it can be replaced-.
Second, they thought that giving the ability to directly send the contact -as SMS or picture message- will be easier to the user than writing an SMS and inserting the contact into it -they could be wrong but that's how they thought about it !-.
Third, there are slots for a Title, Company, Street, City, State, Zip code, and Country and you still say "There is not field for postal address" !!! That Zip code is basically the alternative to the postal code in some countries, you don't need to write down the whole address, you just write the name of the recipient person/company along with that postal/Zip code on the letter and it will arrive -at least that's how it works here in Egypt !-.

3. Already said why is that in my post addressed to "shibatian".
4. It takes only 2 hours to become fully charged -just 4 hours of charging at the first time, then some "2 hours" charging time -as the manual says !- before the "Fully charged" indicator starts to show after 1.5-2 hours of charging -at least that happened with me and I charge my phone when it automatically switch off and I keep it switched off while charging-.
6. Just as the media player you can minimize it and use the phone normally, and it's not the phone fault that you don't see the "More" button !.
8. You certainly can, select the message from the "Outbox" or "Sent messages" folder, click "More", click on "Details", move the joystick down to select the number to which you sent the message, click "More" and then click on "Save number".
ALL READERS, please make sure of what you're going to write before writting it not to EMBARRASS yourself when writing WRONG information and stating them as FACTS for I will not let it pass !

Just got my k750i as i was craving for some decent phone with mp3 playback and nice ring tone.
I was impressed my the camera as well as well as the mp3 playback.
However, i was very very disappointed with the usability.
1. Unable to set Caller groups ring tone. U have to set it individually on each contact.
2. Need to switch language inorder to insert Chinese character.
3. Unable to insert name or phone number into the text message.
4. Takes long long time to charge.
5. Unable to switch radio channel using headset. you have to do it with the phone
6. when radio is on, u cant do anything else on ur phone.
8. When u send an sms to a person who is not in ur contact list, you cant add that keyed in number on to your contact list.
As a ex Siemens s65 user, i am highly disappointed with the usability. Hope they can do something about it for the future phones.

I just bought k750i. Actually I was debating in my mind to buy k750i or N70, finally i still decided to buy k750i cos it is cheaper.
However, despite the good review, I am pretty much disappointed.
Some bad review:
First, the joystick is not as user-friendly. After a while, my thumb is aching. And it is also not sensitive, esp navigating down.
Second, the writing of sms is not friendly like nokia. It does not allow me to insert names or number.
Third, the contact is disappointing. There is not field for postal address but there are fields for title, company etc. Dun understand the rationale behind. The company address field is also very limited in the amount of characters to be entered.
Fourth, the camera is activated when the shutter is accidentally slide open despite I have phone lock it. This is very dangerous.
Some good reviews:
1. The data cable can be used for battery charging. This is quite useful as I dun have to bring my charge to everywhere I go.

I have had my fair share of mobile phones over the years but this K750i really rocks.
I used to own a samsung d500 but i the Ericsson K750i knocks spots of that. Its 2mega pixel camera is crystal clear and the phone even has an s.o.s facility built into the flash...how cool is that.
I was quite fond of the T610, but if you have not tried the k750i your missing out.
Ericsson even supply you a data cable for direct uploading/downloading of files straight to the pc,
My view: This phone is certainly state of the art and carries mobile technology into the 21st century

Well it's 6 weeks now and counting. My phone is supposed to be replaced by SE and I have been waiting 6 weeks. I ring Telstra whome blames Sony E,then Sony E says theres a holdup in stores, but 6 weeks come on.If I had known There service was like this I would have got another brand. My SE k750i decided not to be turned on and went blank and has been out of my hands ever since. Not happy SE.

Yes, you'll just have to convert your videos into MPEG4 (MP4) format with resolution of 176*144.////
Hey @doul
-When you said "*144" does that mean the U.S. price???
Anyone that knows
-What is the cheapest U.S. price for this phone???

Greenthumb,
That's a common problem with Sony Ericsson. After a while the joystick just gives up on you. I had a T630 before I got this and the T630 joystick just stopped working for me. So it's normal, you can get it serviced, but most likely they will tell you that they have to replace the joystick.
Hope my info helped
