I just got this phone. It has everything except 3G. I wanted to get a V3i, but i decided this was better 'cause V3i is only nice to look at.

yes, you can use MP3s as ringtones, msg tones last for 10sec, while ringtones run untill the caller hangs up, or it reaches msg bank.

Symbian is an Operating System used by Nokia and Sony Ericsson for their Smartphones..
Symbian works like a PC computer.. You can download lotz of applications or software..
and the other OS you called phone is the JAVA Operating System.. Both Nokia and SE have that too.. K750 has java OS, P900 has a Symbian OS.
Do you get it?
I don't know about using mp3 as an msg ringtone..

I just got the phone today!!
Its awesome!! I wanna convert the firmware to the W800 firmware..
Can anyone recommend me a website where I can do it myself? and do I need any extra equipment to do this? or the USB cable that came with it is fine?
This phone is weird.. I can't seem to find where its made, I check the box and the battery compartment.. Nothing!!
Well Anyhow!! Im happy with the phone!

I bought one of these phones 6 weeks ago and the centre button has locked up for going back when writing a text message, is there a software problem or what ? are there any software patches available on the net to sort this out ?

sellina.. i doubt that you have even touch the phone.. bare in mind that this is one of sony ericsson's most stellar phone, it won't even slow down even if you put 1 GB or 2 GB, unlike your FAVOURITE NOKIA, that can get a memory corruption after 366 MB in N70 (one of their best phone series, the N series). Now can you see which one is lousy? if you say that i am lying, you are welcome to go and check my phone here in Australia and see whether it is slow to operate with 1 GB memory card. If you are talking about loading a picture and you find it slow.. well that is just common for they have to upload such a big size of picture. Any concern about it? One more thing, the mp3 quality of this phone added with W800's earphone can compete quite fairly with Ipod (something that you simply cannot expect from NOKIA with their Sh**ty earphone.

does anyone know how to flash a k750i into w800i for free or for cheap?
cos i really need to get it flashed cos i want walkman mode and to use the disc2phone software.

Hey GUYS!I had bought on July 2005 And since then im using this but im pleased to in4m u all that i not received a single complain from it only on the first Day its restarted by itself otherwise not a single problem ;)

Joash - you can record as much video as you want. After 6 months the joystick thing on mine is almost unusable. Major problem. Friends have same problem. Great phone, but think twice..

could be your PC suite software playing up. try re installing it from the web at SE. or again off your CD you were given.
if it keeps occuring, you could have a faulty USB port, try connecting it to another port on the pack of your PC.

it depends on how big your memory card is, 64mb is around 30min of quality video (correct me if im wrong anyone, am kinda unsure myself) but simply, the more memory you have, the more data/video you can save/record

I already inserted a 2GB memory in my k750 and the speed didn't change!!! I wonder why do people buy Nokia? Sonyericsson is much better.

i use a 1gb in my SE, it runs fine as if im running a standard 64mb card. I am unsure now as to why its running so slow. is it a Sony card? or the aftermarket Scan disc? this could also be a card error. if you know of anyone who has the same, try using their card and see if this problem happens again.
"Is the mp3 ringtones average?"- its standard MP3 audio.

i have had this problem, what it is is the shutter button on the case is moved, and is not connecting with the main board of the phone, you will need to send the phone back to SE for a REPLACEMENT phone, this is a design fault in the older model phones.
