Hey live to surf - Make sure you plug in your phone in the USB port, and install the software. After installation, go to Program->Sony Ericsson->File Manager.

Hi,
How to increase the speed of this HP?
Any possibility?
Add on MS Duo pro with the optimum capacity?
Heard that if we add a larger capacity the HP will go slower.
Can i keep everything in MS Duo instead of HP? Sms as well?

Hi guys...
Yahoo! I already got my SE k750i! k750 rocks!
I just got few questions...
My phone came with the R1A008 firmware (Hongkong). Can I re-update it to the R1A008 (US) firmware?
Pls.. Can anyone tell me if there's any difference if the firmware came from different regions/countries... thanks...
How can i turn off the camera sound??
setting the phone to silent mode does not do the trick...
thanks...

ok, ignore (1) also--
when you get a new k750i, it defaults to using sim contacts; you must go to contacts->options-> and select the option which switches to phone contacts... this will allow more fields (like photo).

ok, ignore (2), the key combo works to get to service menu (why is it so obscure??)
i have the r1n035--but i still can't figure out how to add a photo beside contacts...

thanks to those who replied...
but none of the proposed methods worked...
(1) the edit menu on a contact will only let me edit the number and the name of the person; same thing when i do 'new contact'
(2) holding the joystick to the right doesn't do anything but open the application i assigned to the shortcut
but thanks.

1- Please allow me to say that this question is very ......, of course you can assign a picture for each & every contact you have in your phone book -even animated pictures as well-, this phone is the best so expect top-notch quality and features in ALMOST every aspect.
"yes. just go to the person's name on your contacts, click more, then edit contact.. explore it then you'll find the "picture" options" .. Pat said.. just click Add, choose whether an instant picture from the camera or a stored picture from the pictures folder(s), click Select then Save the contact.
2- Get out of clock/screen saver mode -just press back key-, move the joystick to right -ignore the application that will open whatever it was and continue the combination- then click * then move the joystick to left twice then press * then move the joysitck to left again then finally press *, click Service info then Software info, the 1st line is your current firmware.
3- This isn't the new firmware, this is the Update Service software, you'll update the firmware through/via/by/with/using this package but it's not the new firmware itself, check this page to compare between the pros. and cons. of your current firmware with the new firmware pros. and cons.:

You can't do anything in the hardware itself, you can only use the two volume keys on the right side of the phone to increase/decrease the volume of the loud/headset speaker, also you should notice that the volume level of sound files in Sounds folder is way lower than the media player and ringing volumes -and there is nothing we can do to change that-, just play a bit with the media player equalizer, or just take the update firmware approach as they have increased the volumes in it.
Yes, you can use W800 headset with K750 device.

Make sure to take a copy of your post/text before submitting it in case it wasn't fully submitted -you need to make sure that it was fully submitted as well-, this way you won't need to repeat yourself again and have the time spent in writting the post wasted.

It can be connected to anything as long as that thing has USB v.2 (USB II), the problem is that the PC Suite which installs the phone and the USB cable drivers in your OS in order to make the PC be able to communicate with the phone only works in Windows environment -at least according to my bundled CD PC Suite version minimum requirements-.
Go to SE web site and search for PC Suite software, maybe they have a MAC OS/Linux versions.
Yoman
As "Pat" said, it's up to you, this phone is compatible with 64MB & 128MB MS Duo & Ms Duo Pro types, and 256MB,512MB,1GB and 2GB of MS Duo Pro type.
You have to search for the price yourself though, I don't live in Malaysia :D.
buddy_84
Your phone is still in the warranty, take it back to any SE customer care center and have it repaired/replaced for you for free.
peter
No, you don't have to pay for downloading the PC Suite, it will only work with K750 devices, other people that don't own a K750 device won't make any use of this Suite so SE don't need to put a price on it, you already paid for the phone along with the bundled software. You don't pay for anything else as well, i.e. drivers & other softwares in SE support web page.
As long as you have read that you must have 400 MB of free disk space in your HDD then the PC Suite package will take about 400 MB of space after being installed, don't worry, it will take 400 MB after installation and not before. It's not a custom made windows to make its source -before installation- 400 MB.

hi dj blakel, i read your answer to michael, i had the same problem because i lost the cd, bu still i wondered, when you download the pc suit from sonyericsson, and everything do you have to pay for anything? and when they say you must have at least 400mb in the disk, what does it mean? i mean, how big does the pc suit get?
sorry for my english, i'm spanish.

So far its the best SE phone. I had the T630 which I expected to be good but K750i is way better.
First of all I enjoy the new type battery (polymer) whick lets my phone live for 7 days on standby 24/7.
Second - the processor is faster. The menu and the soft is very comfy.
If compared with NOKIA 6230i, this one has at least bigger screen where NOKIAs are still with the same old technology that was invented 3 yrs. ago.
Things like Radio are nice to have. The reception is pretty good. I like that I got the phone with all the accessories the rest usually dont have or at least did not have. Now I have the phones that I can use as handsfree even there is one integrated, I also have the USB cable with the soft which allows me to synchronise the phone with PC.
So basicaly it is an amazing peace. Most of all I am really glad that SE finally produced a battery that can last long. BTW: camera and the flash light with the SOS are advanced I must say.
