I bought K750i last week and I tried video capturing, but it allows me only 13sec clips, not more that that. Is there any way to lengthen the capture duration??

Of course you can transfer using the USB cable, it's why they supply it with the phone in the first place, to be used in transferring to/from the PC, the charging is a secondary/side option but transferring is the first purpose of the USB cable, I meant that you can use the other wireless transfer methods IF you don't like that USB cable "charging option".

I don't know the dimensions of the Nokia 3230 screen but K750 screen in diameter is 10.44 cm (square) with resolution of 176*220 and supports 262K colours -3230 screen resolution is 176*208 and supports 65K colurs-.
For video play back, K750 supports 3GP and MPEG4 formats only, you can view videos/clips in full screen with holding the phone in a horizontal way.
You can google for the supported applications for the K750 -I don't use any application with my phone myself, don't need any-, you can browse this page to take a glance about some supported applications:

You can find the disadvantages down this page -or in page two- and in page 4 of this forum -from different users personal perspectives-, you can as well read the review named "Sony Ericsson K750 review:Get excited!" to know the technical disadvantages -from the analyst perspective- and to get a more general idea about K750.

I don't really get/understand your question, but if my guessing is working correct, then no, there is no "interval" sms or call alarms, only an icon will be displayed on the screen.

Before you think about firmware updates, set the phone into silent mode before opening the lens cover and take a shot, if the sound was muted then you're done, if it wasn't muted then updating the firmware won't help you for the camera will still have that sound in the new firmware as well.
It's all about your country -whether it was strict with privacy laws or not- not a firmware problem.

Come on guys, do we need to install the PC Suite to only access the MS or not ?? Your post doesn't agree with what others have confirmed in their posts !! -I have the suite & drivers installed already and have no probs. in accessing both phone memories, but I want to know as a general piece of knowledge-.

You can take pictures of 1623*1224, 640*480 and 160*120 resolutions only.
No, as far as I know they didn't make any taking pictutes software for K750 -cause K750 own software is more than enough already-.
Night shots are always worse than day shots in any camera -even sony cybershots-, I use the following settings in night shots:
macro mode is on -I leave it on all the time anyway-, night mode off, light on, white balance depends on the picture place lighting colour whether it's fluorescent or incandescent (white or yellow) and picture quality fine.
Just always try not to use both night mode and the camera light together at the same time, and when using the night mode try to set your hand still as much as you can, and the most important thing is that you have to know/believe that no matter what we do night shots won't be better than day shots by any way/mean.

If I was gonna tell you to take it to any place other than SE own customer care centers I wouldn't have asked you about the warranty from the beginning, right ??
I'm the 4th now on the blacklist, daym, this game has some breath-taking cinematics, I had to watch the intro movie for 3 times to figure if these models/characters were actuall people or just graphics -and because I enjoyed it too much too :)-.
      I already know Imtoo.
VGA resolution is 640*480, QVGA is 320*240 -can you tell the differnce between them ?? ;)-
CIF resolution is 704x576, QCIF is 176*144 -can you tell the differnce between these too ?? ;)-
LOL, it's really funny, (Q)CIF means quarter CIF, while in (Q)VGA case it means half VGA, kinda weird huh ;).

Matt and nin077 - your phones need a firmware upgrade to the latest R1A008. Go to your local SE service center to get it done and it supposed to fix this bug.

thx man, you do a great job helping people here :)

The charges through USB only when driver is installed,The same applies to access the memory card. This makes the the phone not as portable as you think.

I was previously using Nokia 3230, and very fond of its larger screen for multimedia video playback, and Symbian OS software range.

Can I expect similar features in SE K750i?
Is there any third party applications for Sony Ericsson phones?

It can take up to the available 2GB memory Sony Duo Pro stick. There isn't any bigger memory card in the market yet.

Both your phone OS (Operating System) and the USB cable are optimized to charge the phone from your computer PSU (Power Supply Unit) whenever you plug the USB cable into the phone, you can't do anything about it because IT'S NOT HARMFUL TO YOUR PHONE AT ALL.
Still, if you don't like that, you can transfer using IrDA (Infra red) if your PC mother board have a built in IrDA receiver or using a bluetooth dongle.
