i have a k750i now for abt two weeks. Its a great phone. Camera quality is topnotch but video quality is substandard. Mp3's play as if on an mp3 player.Quality is good. I have the latest FW i.e R1L002 but still there are bugs in my phone. Phone hangs sometimes when bluetoothing multiple files. But if u bluetooth one file at a time then it works perfectly. The camera sometimes doesnot save the pic after u take it.I encountered this problem recently.U have to restart the set to make it ok. If anyone else encountered these problems plz contact me at adilbaig_83@yahoo.com ANYONE KNOW WHT IS THE FW AVAILABLE 4 DOWNLOAD AT THE SONY ERICSSON WEBSITE??

                Dear Users,

As you know this is a user opinion post.

My opinion is becarful of the w800, i went to "ALLPHONES" "OPTUSWORLD" "VODAFONE" and others and i repeatedly asked what are the diffrences of the SE W800 and the SE k750i.

80% replied that the w800 is a remake of the k750i but only with better sound. Its just a phone helped created by walkman. They got the idea after they shipped k750i and it was too late..So they made a limited edition w800 A.K.A SE k750i and its like $500 more expensive then the k750i. Please be careful of what you choose and dont fall for the w800's new look. It's a limited edition phone... I'm buying the k750i :) The real one and oh yeah k750i has extremely fast charging speed and the " I " Means international version aka

                .. SE k750c ( CHINA )
                k ( Korea )
                and
                i ( International thankz :)

So choose wisley im going for the 750

                  hi there,
i have been using Nokia all the time. but since the past few years until now, all the Nokia phone that i bought(6100 & 6600 & 6710 and now 6230) r having the same problems such as:
                  1) vibration problem
                  2) frequent auto-restart (sometimes even auto-off)
                  3) frequenly hang
                  4) ascending ringing tone (even the tone has been set at 'ringing')
                  5) no sms tone when handsfree plug-on (for 6230)
PLS ADVICE WHETHER IS K750i IS HAVING SUCH A PROBLEMS TOO?

                    nemisis_87,
thanks for your reply, i live in brisbane and the K750i's that i've sold have had the internet browser locked to the company it is shipped to us from. i have had a play with the settings and i haven't yet been able to change them (maybe i just need a bit more practice) but it does seem to be locked to the carrier that the phone was packaged with. could someone please try a different carriers sim card in their phone and tell me if they had any trouble hooking up to the web browser??? thanks in advance:)

                      *******************************
I already have used 2 Sony Ericson Phones, the K700 and the K500 and now moved, thinking of getting the K750. I would like to know if the Joystick is working properly, or if there is any fault or 'slowness' of the joystick, please send your post saying that okay. Coz with the 2 SE 'Joystick' phones i used, all are having the joystick problem.. my K500 is now useless coz the joystick is absolute broken and so with my K700. I might be getting the K750 of Vodafone Germany and i really want to know if the joystick is alright and if there is any other info you want to give me, such as the Joystick being Improved, please do so.. Thank you.
If there are other faults you are having, please reply to me okay..

                          to merv

yes.. K750 is able to charge using USB. If you see that the battery goes from 35% to 80%, the battery really goes to 80%. (you are not dreaming haha). and K750i is actually K750 (i think the i stands for international, which means it is the international version of K750)

My contract ended and i got myself the K750. Its been three days the the phone is awesome. The photo quality and the auto adjust lens are top knotch. I changed my video files on the computer to 3GP and it looks and sounds the same as if im watching it on my computer. The memory is a bit small but the good thing is that we can always upgrade our memory sticks.

But this thing really confused me when it started charging the battery when the USB is connected to the computer and phone. The phone was 35% and then it went to 80% in an hour. Is it actually 80% or.. I thought the only way to charge a phone was to use the recharger. Can anyone help me on this or confirm it? Im from Australia and they called it the K750i it seems to have the exact specifications as the normal K750.

If anyone could reply to this or send me an email i would really appreciate it. Thanks

Oh also i have read the manual guide about 3 times.. Nothing in there says anything about being able to charge the battery with the USB to the computer.

The photos taken by the d600 on the review is not very good. Focus seems to be completly out. Don't know what the problem is. SE still rocks my world!!!Much better focus and photos taken is still the best with the K750 or W800.

                                  no worries...
D600's camera is not better than K750, but in terms of function it offers slightly more than that... here is the review of the Samsung D600

Thanx for the reply. I'll have to wait and see because the w800 is not available until Oktober in South Africa. If I have to wait, will the Samsund D600 not be a better option? Anyway maybe I'll just get me the K750 and buy a bigger memory stik.

it's interesting to note throughout this site the amount of people that are concerned with various matters which are actually in the control of the user and not the manufacturer.
such as mp3 quality. its actually minutely affeceted by the phone, its more so by the quality bitrate that the user uploads, be it 64kps or 128 or even at near cd quality 192.
obviously people dont remember their good old mp3 rules at home.
i have the phone and its a dream, performs all the functions that the modern user even the "expert" user wishes to have. i have had phones from nokia to motorola to samsung, i must admit with my first experince with sony ericsson, its going pretty smoothly, lets not forget that a product is also affected by the support provided by the manufactuer. the site is easy to nav through and although everyone is soo eger to jump on the fault train, maybe the features you desired are not feasable for a mainstream, mass-produced product.
