You need to follow instructions to the letter. Most people forget to extract from zip and update usb drivers. If SE website will tell you can't then go to http://www.davinciteam.com/index.php?page=downloads All at your own risk of course.

I just got the K750i today from vodafone. Looks great and always very satisfied with all the features SE has to offer. Am only wondering, is there anyway in which i can get rid of the vodafone stuff in this mobile? Like an update on software/firmware? Really dislike turning on my phone and not being able to download mp3's, themes, games and stuff unless i do it through the vodafone site. Help would be appreciated. thanx. =)

Sweeta, the external memory card shows up on your PC as a removable disc drive. you can look through the files on both phone memory and the memory card. Have Fun

i've a problem here, i wonder if anyone here meet this problem, once my phone's battery level dropped till 40%, it'll drop very fast like 1% in a few minutes time until left around 20% in my phone then get stable again... anyone facing this problem?

guys i have bought this mobile yesterday and i think it is great and it's menu sooooooooo simple , but i'm having one problem i'd like someone to help me fix it.
whenever i connect my mobile to the PC , the pc can only read the phone's memorey , my computer doesn't read any thing from the card memorey as if it doesn't exist !!!!!!! , why is that ???
pls someone tell me how to fix this problem , it will be more than great if some one can email me the answer

You are most welcome Mojako. No problem. I just hope they read my email once, and at least rethink before updating their firmware/softwares. Trust me, if they fulfil one of my suggestions (just one), the k750i will be a step ahead from other upcoming cell phones.
As far your suggestion goes, I think you should email em too Mojako (we should all). You'll get their contact information from Sony Ericsson's website.
See, if I am the only person giving them suggestions, chances are, they will ignore my emails in the future. We need to all step forward and let them know that still, the k750i needs to be updated properly.
Honestly, it wouldn't matter to me if it's CMOS or CCD. I get great picture quality with the preinstalled CMOS. Just the photo saving capability is a bitch at the moment. Other than that, the resolutions are impressive.
More renovation to the cell phone would mean an increase in sale and price. By the time they are done correcting this cell phone, most of you will go bald and change your mind cause of the new cells coming out each day. It's easy to get tempted over toys like this LOL.
Anyway, some of you wanted the game link I believe, so here it is:

Please download at your own risk. I don't wish to write a small disclaimer here cause I understand most of you are well grown up and mature enough to understand that this is a third party website which automatically voids your warrany (if a game is downloaded from these third party websites to your k750i).
Some of these games can (and most likely) will freeze your k750i. In that case, take out the battery and replace it. Once that much is done, delete the game which caused the problem; don't try to restart it and experiment. You'll get the same results.
There is a program out there called MyPhoneExplorer by F.J. Wechselberger and I use it frequently to update my contacts, calender etc. The program is great and allows you to go deep in your k750i (gives information on firmware, IMEI, Signal quality, phone temperature, battery temperature, etc).
It's way better than the File Manager provided by Sony Ericsson's website LOL.

Thank you JESUS for raising our concerns...But, another thing about SE is that, unlike NOKIA, when send SMS then look for contacts, we only type ONCE...the first letter only then we scroll way down till you find the right recepient..I hope they could also find ways to upgrade this

One more thing it really does suk for the people who have the k750i and are pro photographers because they would have to sell their k750i to get the new one. In my opinon not worth it.

I live in the US but bought the fone from ebay. I really dont care if it is ccd or cmos because i am not a pro. I probably wont even notice a difference. But tell me how do u plan Sebass plan to find out if the fone is ccd or cmos. Other than that sony will have to raise the prices again as the ccd chips cost more. And not to mention the battery life will be shorter. I had the s700i and the battery life was kind of annoying. Plus those fones will be in the market by the end of august which is pretty late from now. Many things might happen. Anyway lets wait and find out.

Reason why SEk750i is off of US website.
The camera chip in August batch of production will have CCD chip instead od CMOS chip.
Here are the improvments:
The blitz research of a question, calls to people who are responsible for the given product, have revealed rather curious fact. The support service has received the given information in connection with that the company really is going to change type of a matrix in the device. All the models made at present, and gone on sale will have a CMOS-sensor control, the same concerns also devices which will be presumably made till July. Since August, there will be a replacement of the module of the chamber, improvements besides change of type matrix:
- the Best work of an auto focus in conditions of low light exposure
- Detailed elaboration of subjects above on distances of shooting up to 5 meters in comparison with the CMOS-module
- Other algorithm of processing of pictures, raises a color saturation of a picture
- the Best realization of processing of pictures from a macromode
- time of preservation of a picture has slightly grown
- Approximately for 5-10 percent has grown power consumption
- Change of optics of the device owing to change of a matrix
Externally new CCD-module does not differ in any way, to see distinction between "old" and "new" versions of phones a unaided sight it is impossible. The company will try to not accent attention to improvement of the chamber in K750i, at least, till the moment of realization, sale of all already made phones. In the further, both in promotional materials, and on the case of phone there will be an inscription that the module of chamber CCD. Roughly it will occur before christmas sales.
I will wait for august batch to have that CCD chip.

I have been reading a lot about the two different camera ships: CMOS & CCD. CMOS sounds like it is going to do great in like 5 years. Anyway i have been reading that k750i that are sold in auagust will have ccd camera chip. That is not true as i read in mobileburn forums. They cant do that becasue that would mean that SE will have to raise prices and the w800 is coming out. Plus it just doesnt make sense why would SE want to types of k750i. Then i read that it was a misunderstaing. That SE is not goin to take out a k750i with ccd camera chip. But nonetheless i will call SE and ask them to be sure.

I just emailed the Sony Ericsson board informing them to rethink about their next firmware/software updates carefully. Here were some of the suggestions I gave to them:
Options:
1)to record from radios
2)to convert the 3gp files into avi or divx
3)to convert the amr files into mp3s
4)faster photo saving capabilities since the current speed gives enough time for the user to cause the picture to be out-of-focus (due to unsteady hands)
5)password for bluetooth like samsung (helps protect from unauthorized attacks)
6)Webster Dictionary or the equivalent that auto-updates
7)A theme creator like the MusicDJ
8)Further sophistication of the calculator with extended functions
9)Better picture taking capabilities in the darkness
10)A log file which can be sent back to the Sony Ericsson website for enquiry and help them make better updates
Let's just pray they don't throw my email in the 'junk mail' or trashcan lmfao. I put alot of thought before sending that email for us k750i users LOL.

What a deal I got on this phone from o2, I was upgrading my handset and was supposed to pay a £49.99 upgrade charge but recieved a discount of £50.00 for being such a good customer.....BARGAIN haha

well bought it a week ago... the phone froze for few times before i update the firmware to R1L002... no freeze since then... those who blame on the camera quality, bet u haven't practise enough to take a good picture... u just need to adjust the contrast due to the environment and i gurantee u'll get a good result... don blame it coz u dunno how to use it nicely... overall an excellent phone 4.5 out of 5... mine is the asian version which don have the multi-character search in the contact... but u'll get use to it for those who bought the asian version... question? just email me...
