1) Anyway to deactivate sound for camera?
2) Anyway to use own headphone?

Hi "sugarray"

but "dumdidum" mentioned that :
"actually da phone is fast port not pop port so there is no converter to use headphones for it."

Therefore i'm not sure if they uses the similar type of "port" if it's really the same. it would be great.

cheers!

          1) Anyway to deactivate sound for camera?
          2) Anyway to use own headphone?

Hi guys, i went around and actually realise that the "SHUTTER CAMERA SOUND" can be turn off TEMPORARY....

          by..
          1) Try putting the phone on the Meeting profile.
          2) flash with firmware where a country that does not have such a law

          http://www.skystartrade.com/Sony%20Ericsson%20tool.htm

However, it also mentioned that it's still phone/country dependent.

So now the SOUND is no longer a problem!!!! Q1 SOLVED. So how about the "HEADPHONE"?? anyone?

shutter noise is on all se phones i have k700i and s700i and both r the same so no taking sly photos i would imagine the k750i
and w800 to be the same but havent played with the k750i long enough 2 find out had a demo model briefly, yes it did make annoying sound but i didnt try 2 turn it off. the photo quality is amazing printed one off as good as my £300 dig cam, o2 do not currently hav these phones in stock due in next week

So many comments and finally i got my answer for Q1... Find it really bad... why can't SE turn off the sound? So disappointed.

Next, i need the headphones is mainly for the mp3... I do not like the old standard ones as they do not give good quality sounds moreover i use it for jogging and it'll drop.... but i guess the one given as assessories to the W800 has this "ear bud" type earphone.. should be able to fit K750i too....

Still, i'm disappointed for the cam sound... but does this applied to other SE phones in the market so far? Like... k700,S700.... etc....

just 2 let people know old accessories will not fit this phone as it now has a 12 pin port with all pins next 2 each other in a row as compared 2 the old 11 pin port which were spaced out sorry folks but it will mean new car chargers and holders for your car kits

cant wait should be out this week starting 23/5/05 the only way 2 take photo with out the annoying shutter noise is 2 dial your voice male or any other free number then go 2 cam and take photo then hang up as for headphones u can only use SE ones and no one as yet has invented an adaptor 2 use your own but y would u and how would u make calls? coz they would need a mic built in unless u mean u want normal phones just for listening 2 music and if so u would be better off with the walkman phone w800 but no release date as yet rumoured 2 be september time

Im sure you have all heard this b4 but if you cant just put the phone on silent you can call a free number (like one thats just a recorded message) and take the photo and there should be no sound, then hang up.

This phone has a CMOS camera and are now better than CCD camera and are more widly more used for smaller cameras! SE have a different policy to Nokia so the only way to stop you from hearing the sound is to turn the phone on silent! I do not know about the headphones question.

There is no way to disactivate the camera's sound. That is because in some countries is illigal to use a camera without the characteristic sound.
My question is:Does this phone has a CCD camera or a CMOS (CCD is the best quality)Please tell me if you know

Europe, Asia and the Middle-East always get the nice phone and the poor Americans always get the low end phones? I wonder why we don't get the nice high end phones that are every where else in the world? T-Mobile phones always come locked as well..
