Have had a k8001 now for just under 11 months from new and is now going in for repair for the 4th time the first three times it left me with no phone as I was unable to make and recieve calls. Sony Erickson is now after the 4th failure looking at replacing it with a reconditioned unit (Not New) and extending my existing 12month warranty to 16 months.So my phone with replacement parts and 4 months warranty.
Not Happy at all !

Hi! Could anyone help me before i buy this phone.. Is the ringing tone of a call,sms and loud speaker of music player are loud enough especially in noisy places like malls.. My current phone is a nokia 6230i, i have no problem with the phone except for the sound because its not loud enough in noisy places unlike other phones like the Nseries of nokia.. im not looking for the same sound quality of a walkman phone of SE,i just want it louder than my current phone or the same sound quality of those nokia Nseries.. Hope you people could help me in deciding if ill buy this k800.. thanks!

I got this phone a few days ago and I must say I am really impressed.The camera is excellent with a very effective autofocus and I am speechless to say anything about the flash coz its simply great.The display is also excellent and the sound quality is also good though its not so loud,after all its not from the walkman series.
Overall I would give it 9.5 out of 10.
I any one of you wanna buy this phone then simply go ahead cos trust me you will never regret.

i just bought the K800i just now.features are perfect. theres only 1 function im still looking for. The image stabalizer. when i play with the fone camera setting i couldnt find the image stabalizer setting. even after i go thru the manual it says "turn on image stabalizer if available". now my question is, how may types of K800i is available? why my K800i dosent have the image stabalizer function?

i bought the unit 3 days ago....the sound is cool and the design is nice........but hopefully in the future model they have to consider the ergonomic effects.....(the spacing between keypad is very small that makes texting difficult.

SE is a boring fon.d only advntge of dis cp,k850i,k810i r d camera.nice camera bcoz of d xenon flash.dats only.not gud for playing games.hard to press keypad especially joystick.bad sounds of music.not gud for internet.bad design especially d keypad.not gud for texting

i have brought this cell phone resently..
all the option r good.. great camera. more than my expectation's. but the sound power is quite boring...!
but i guess the peopls who want's yo good picture qility with cell phone have to by this k 800i syber-shoot.. :-)..

I bought this phone a few days back and i must say its simply the best. The camera is great,sound is also good,thought its not so loud,all other features are simply excellent.

The K800i's music quality is very good, specially when listening to higher quality MP3.(160kbps-192kbps for example is cool)
When plugging in an adaptor, and use your own higher quality headset, it sounds as good as a good MP3 player.

just got this phone last june... and i really liked it... nice camera and good speaker... love it! :D
btw does the navigation key gets destroyed easily?

Music Performance: Awesome
Brilliant headset, with manual equalizer will maxout the phone ability. You can even attach walkman series headset and get the bass maxed out even without megabass.
I think it's only lack of loud speaker's loudness. Slightly lose to K618i's which have good loudness

The sony HBH-662a bluetooth supports sony ericsson K800i handset if does??? How it has to be done.

the genius in the software dept. put image rotating clockwise - the landscape w/ 1st rotation becomes upsidedown portrait - so 3 rotations in a row to get what u want..lol

it's not good if I comment on this phone and the inovation by Sony mobile.
I,m satisfied with the 3M camera. Ultimately all in one concept comes true.

People on here often ask which phone is better, the K800 OR THE W850? Well, now that i have owned both handsets, i shall give my opinion. Basically, if your looking for a really good music phone more than a good camera phone, get the w850. If your looking for a really good camera phone more than a good music phone get the K800. However, if your not bothered either way, having had both of these handsets, i would say that the w850 is the better phone, because out of the 2 comprimise situations for both phones, the w850 has the better comprimise as its camera is rather good, the mp3 player on the k800 does the job but its just ok, not good. Also, it doesnt have the joystick which from experience can be a pain. I think also the w850 looks nicer and has a better keypad. However, they are both very good phones so whichever one you get, im sure it wont dissapoint!
