To be able to put more mp3s in your phone here's what you do.
Download iTunes. It's free. Install it (of course) on your computer. Follow it's installation instructions. When you're done with all that open the program.
On the menu, click "Edit" then "Preferences". On the tabs click "Advanced" then "Importing".
On the "Import Using" dropdown menu choose MP3 Encoder. Then, just below that is the Setting dropdown menu. Choose Custom. There are four dropdown menus.
Stereo Bit Rate
I suggest 64 kbps. Going lower than that, the sound will start to get noticeably degraded. Even at 56 kbps you will notice cracks and hisses on the sound quality.
Sample Rate
Leave this on Auto.
Channels
Choose Auto or Stereo. But if you really wanna decrease the file size choose Mono. Doing this will make the file 1/4 of its original size since 64 kbps on Stereo will actually be 32 kbps on Mono. I've tried this setting and there are songs which do fine with it but most songs will really sound crackly and transistor-radio-like-with-bad-reception i couldn't stand listening to even 5 seconds of it. So i suggest, if you're really pressed for space and wanna save as much as you can play with these settings and decide which is best for you.
Stereo Mode
If you chose Auto or Stereo on the Channels setting, this setting can be changed. I suggest Joint Stereo. But if you chose mono this setting will be disabled.
Below these four dropdown menus there are two other settings that have tickboxes. I suggest ticking both. I tried encoding with the two setiings on and off and there's really no sound quality and file size difference. But tick both boxes anyway. Just for fun =)
When you're done just click OK then start dragging and dropping MP3 files to the list. When you're done, click Edit on the Menu then choose Select All. Then, click Advanced on the Menu and select "Convert Selection to MP3".

hi there thx 4 ya reply....anyway i would like to know the software's name actually...for my concern video clip is not important...i wanna to compress the mp3 tracks to lower mb...and 4 ur information once again i've seen ppl done that..they compress the mp3 song which is original length 4.3mb and compressed it to 1.6mb..but the thing is i lost contact with d person tats y could not get the name of the software.....the song's quality also is not changed after compressed...it's remains....i think u've never seen ppl done or hear about it b4....nothing is impossible...get to know 1st...:)

I think u should gain more information about video compressing and mp3 encoding.
its not possible to compress a video file to 1 mb which is not shorter than 5 minutes in lenght. because normally the leghth of a track is 5 minutes. if u compress lower than 5 mb the quality of the video will be rubbissss.....

I have that limited edition of K800 Casino Royale Silver and i'm loving it, way better that n73 but hope that SE could come up w/ a software upgrade for K800 to shoot video in mp4 format w/ 30fps at a maximum resolution...pls SE hear my plea...

hi guys....i need u guys help.....can anyone let me know the name of the software that can compress mp3's or video clip in our phones for example lets say the file is 5mb and the software can compress up 1mb or 2mb without changing the format..coz i've seen ppl done but i dunno the software's name...plz guys can anyone let me know???....thx

to malks,,im not sticking up for nokia so wat next well the d900 has better video record quality k800 has best photo quality both ar 262k qvga screens but the d900 is out of this worls but the k800 has better battery life,,ive got both along with other fones but the k800 has better music qulity but im using my w900 earbuds in another s/e adaptor for ultrabass.

hey guys.. i have this fone.. and i also have nokia 3250. k800i is really nice... awesome camera.. mp3 not so load as 3250..
k800 has 3G but no Edge... 3250 has EDGE but no 3G.. all i want to say that k800 is really goood.. you can go for it.. i bought it in 6 months warranty for PAK Rs:12000.. is approx US $200..

guys..need help here..why does my phone does not have the anti shake option for taking pictures? many of the pics i took look blurry should i have mere shakes while taking pictures... i think my phone does not have the latest firmware.. i've updated using se's update service..but sadly when i tried updating, it says i've got the latest update.. help me guys..pls..my firmware is outdated..its R1ED001..
