got one more thing to ask. what does it look like? i mean the WSOD, when it affects the phone, what does the screen look like? just plain white and hanged? uh-oh, one more...it's not like a virus? it is just a malfunction?

whats the latest firmware of k800 n where i cud find the firmware?...is it in the settings?...m sorry it will be my first time to buy sony ericsson n i want to be sure that i will have the unit with the latest firmware...hope someone cud also help me identify the original with that reconditioned..

What's up everybody? This phone is the best! SonyEricsson is much better than any Nokia on the market! The N-series of Nokia are not so cool as I thought! It's easy to work, battery life is long and..so on.

HELP!! I've owned this phone for about one year..bought it august 2006..hey..i saw the features in for this phone in the official website cotradicts to mine..it sez this phone has an antishake or sort of image stabilizer while taking pictures..and mine doesnt!! i also saw during the flash demo there was a pictbridge program..mine doesnt have one too..its sad! wuts d problem? guys pls help me..is it because im using an old firmware? will an update solve my problem?? plss...

can anyone help me with the contact ringtone? my fon does not recognize some of the contact ringtone that i assign to it. instead it plays the default ringtone. is there a solution other than updating firmware or doing the master reset? ive tried to erase the duplicates on the memory stick and on the sim contacts to no avail. ive also tried deleting the contact and putting in new info.

Hey there. An effective way I've found to take out the SIM card is to use the index finger of both hands. Have one index lift the SIM card slightly from the end it comes out of, then with the other finger, push the SIM card out.
What I'd like to know is why you need to take your SIM card out so often hehe! :D
I just got my SILVER K800i last week. OMG it's such an awesome phone!! And I thought my W810i was good! ;D

I'm thing that irritates me is that i can't take my sim card out!
Does anybody know a way to pull it out, because mine just has metal layer over it and the sim card is held in so tight and from both sides there are no holes to pull it out from!
help somebody !!:(

I believe the White Screen of Death is caused when the phone malfunctions, and from what I've heard, it might have something to do with when people update the firmware or software on their phone when their battery level isn't charged enough. I'm sure there's other instances when it happens, but it's a bad thing.

mine, does not slide itself. it's not loose or something. you just have to slide the camera kens cover yourself if you're gonna use the camera.

I've been reading up on this phone over the past few weeks as my contract is ending soon, and I've decided to get this phone over the Samsung D900 & U600 due to their short battery life (seriously, 1.5 days of usage?!?!)
I've noticed one little thing that might bother me when I actually buy this phone: The Camera lense cover. Every time I've gone into a store and checked out this phone, the sliding mechanism seems very loose. For example, if I take the demo phone and shake it up and down, the lense cover will slide on/off the lesnse itself.
Maybe someone who has had this phone can clarify this for me. Is the lense cover really flimsy and will it slide open/close on it's own when it's in my bag or pocket?

I bought my K800i three weeks ago, and I find the battery only lasts a couple of days before it needs a charge. I dont use loads of talk time, say about 30 minutes a day, and so far I have not been using the camera or video much either.
Any comments please??

hey every one. i just came to know that sony ericsson is releasing two new fones the k850i and k900i. well i know its some features. it will have a 5 mega pixels cyber-shot camera with auto focus, it will have a walkman player, 3g enabled, edge, wi-fi, blue tooth, ir-da, 10gb of internal memory, card slot yes, xenon flash light. these fones will kill the nokia n95. sony ericsson is the best. nokia sucks. well k800i is better than nokia n73.
