just take good care of ur joystick..
*always let the keypads/joystick/screen on top side position when placing it in ur table, dont mind the back lens cover to be scratch..lol
*avoid putting ur fone inside ur side pockets w/out any protection casings.. it might get squeezed too much..lol
*avoid using the joystick so redundantly..
i mean, like browsing ur contacts, the down arrow is very abusively used, especially when ur scrolling from the top to the other end of ur contact list..lol
*don't throw ur fone..lol
*99.9% of fones tried to dive in water naked..died! lol

i brought my k800i for about 3 month and the joystick is start to have some problem...i took it to the dealer and he say it is a common problem..swt..now i need to repair the joystick at sony ericsson HQ. Other than

so y u still need a feedback?
if u kud test it urself..
if ur k800i is still under 12 months new..
then u kud let the joystick be repaired for free!!
bring the "RECEIPT" to where u bought ur fone and they would repair it for you..they might need a few days before they bring u back ur fone..
i really take good care of my phones joystick!
coz i learned my lesson to my ex-nokia 6600..
6600 is worst! the joystick is not leveled to the fone.. so it is more exposed and makes it easier to be broken.. especially when u always put it in ur pocket..
i recommend u not to put ur k800i naked in ur pockets.. sheild it with a celfone casing or something, so it would not exposed the joystick and the lens cover at the back..

Hello, i recently brought the k800. It was a rather large purchase. Now I am wondering if I made the right choice. IS the camera really that powerful compared to other phones? Can anybody give feedback for this phone?

love all the features...considering that i'm just 16 years old and just a freshman in college....
Got this phone in January...the left, up and down of the joystick are working fine,....,however the right seems to be having problems...can that problem still be fix??...by the way got this phone with a 512 memory card...all the features are really great..i just don't like the video format (QCIF-176x144)...it not that great considering its very excellent in taking still images...

the batery is better than many other phone..you should probably cut back on some lcd light..

Hi! I have a big problem with my new shiny K800i,the battery life is about 3-4 days,at a half that my previous K500i,is this right? I mean this is a top phone on the today market and I don't understend how it's possible that the battery life is soooooo poor.It's a polymer battery,no formatting is neccesary and after one month my battery is collapsing after 4 days

no no no K800i doesnt need that crap operating system symbian its crap and slow is Symbian like the N73 is slowww and confusinggg...there needs to be atleast 1 fone with a standard operating system and thats this K800i..

It needs symbian and little better video quality to be a perfect phone. I hope that SonyEricsson will be able to product next phone from K-series with those things... They will be number one company on the market in that case!!!

for more clearer explanation..
firmware is like the
windows 2000/me/xp/vista of ur celfone..
while softwares
are the programs u installed and downloaded to ur pc same as to ur celfone..
so upgrading/changing ur firmware is more delicate.. i dont recommend it, especially if it is still in waranty period..

i just downloaded the new software update for k800i..
i see no problems for now..
i saw some added features like when u hover to ur video folder the video thumbnail starts to play automatically in thumbnail view..
the other one is the sleep mode..
wherein the screen go plain black after few seconds of standby..
now to exit in sleep mode,
u can use all keys, except for the scrolls..
i dont know if there are still other added features in this latest software update..
the speed doesn't change..
i still recommend k800i users to download latest softwares by sony ericsson..
