downloading software and firmware is different..
software
-it updates ur fone by installing added new programs to ur k800i
-no files to ur fone is deleted
firmware (not recommended)
-totally changes ur fones software, manufacturing date..etc
-everything is formatted
-it voids ur warranty
-in every different network providers and in every different country, there's a different firmwares..coz of the language and added/removed features of network providers..

if u dont want to update ur software by connecting to the interner thru ur fone..
download this k800i software updater to ur pc and
update ur fone thru connecting ur k800i to ur pc that has an internet connection..

*WARNING upon downloading this software:
-make sure ur fone is fully charged(recommended)
-follow noted instructions carefully..
for the second time!
-make sure ur fone is fully charged or connected to the charger upon installing the updater..
-please follow instructions CORRECTLY!

U can use MyPhoneExplorer to back up your SMS also. check the post above yours for the link :)

no doubt sony ericsson is best.i always like to get sony ericsson.but k800i i have some bettery broblem.i had to have rechage every day.could some one tell me what i have betery problem???i aslo use too much my sony ericsson.

n73 vs k800i =n73 -wins by far!
for applications

so i therefore conclude..
if capturing video at less pixel is not a problem for u,
then,
i really! really! recommend more this k800i than the n73!
great camera and music fone!
but, just w8 for more fones to come!
this fones are fast for being obsolite!
there are more fones to come..
the one w/ dvh-tv & gps receiver, etc
so just be contented first of watever fone u have now..
buy fone at least once in every 3 yrs..lol

i have this problem..wich is very annoying..when i try to get to
the "play now" from the main menu ( the first icn rop left ) it asks
me for user and password like logging into the net???
any help plz

there seems to be a AF-Light bug. Sometimes when I tap the shutter button few times(1st level button) then the AF-light stays on and the phone doesnt respond. After like 5 seconds it becomes functional.

got the k800i six months ago no problems untill yesterday when i tried to turn my phone on it does not work all the happens is that the red light down by the camera button flashes a few times, have tried charging cleaning and everything to no avail, any ideas?

it has PlayNow..
but i dont use it..
it connects to the internet..
im a cheap guy..harhar!
this fone kud play any videos!
if and only if u have a multimedia video converter like me..
i kud play it at my fone..(FULL SCREEN)
very clear!!
but this fone record videos at low pixels..176x144
compared to 352x288 or 640x480 of other fones..
but i still love my K800i so much!!
it has a lot of useful features..
*especially if u know how to get cool downloads/softwares/programs in the internet for ur fone..

this is a cam with celphone.. but, if you want to charge videos or see videos in your k800i, it is impossible.
