My ringing tones only lasted for like 10 seconds, when the mp3 is a min long.
Anyone haf any idea how i can change it?

i am a big fan of nokia fons.
i agree that sony ericson k800 take good pictures.after readung all specification's about k800 i can say that it has got a good camera,a good music player and that's all,nothing else.if you think i am wrong than please check out fon's like Nokia N73,N80,N93 &&&&&&&&&&&& N95.
K800 does not even have enough softwar compatibility or connectivity solutions like any of the Nokia N-series fons.

Hi Mates, Anybody who uses K800 for over two months without any problem, Please answer few of my questions so that it will be very helpfull for me to buy it without any problem... It will also help many peoples who are looking for this !!
1. Where is your K800 manufactured from ? What is your (Phones) software version ??
2. Can we take pictures/videos from frontal 3G VGA Cam ?
3. Can we play Music/MP3 songs during conversation ?? (Most of the Nokia phones has this feature)
I am going buy as soon as I get the info.... So please help me out !!

You probably disconnected the phone connection without hitting "Safely remove hardware" button on the taskbar. Doing that will actually corrupt your phone and memory stick.
Another thing - if you just got ur phone two days ago - you might need to charge it for like half a day - this problem actually happened to me and charging the phone for a long time resolved my issue.
One advice, READ the user guide.

go to menu > settings > sounds and alerts > message alert > go to last tone > replace > choose the MP3 you want.
Thats all.
Another advise - try to explore your phone.

bought it 2 days ago,went to upload pics on to pc with all the software updated and as soon as i unplugged it it stopped working altogether..all i get now is a tiny flashing led where the infrared sensor is, i cannot turn it on anymore at all.....any suggestions other than return it??

i love it very much. i haven buy the nokia n73, but the video camera always stuck!! i hate nokia so much!! i want to sold it and buy the k800i.

Can anyone tell me why in every foto i have taken people have red eyes. I have adjusted my setting to red eye reduction and it hasn't changed...

Hi, i have a k800i unlocked on orange uk. there is update option in the phone. Can it be done by the "device management" option in the phone. If yes, can someone help me with the settings like server name and server address.

Think that this Handset is class love the style of the phone picture quality is great and the functions on the handset are brill glad i did not agree to get the Nokia N73

i have nokia 3660, i very satisfied with that, but after i knew K800, i'm verry surprised with the spesification.

!!!!PRIVATE NUMBER DISPLAY FUNCTIONALITY!!!!!
I work in a gsm company where i could change my so as to view private callers ID from b-party. This functionality (soclip-1) has been activated on my HLR profile. B4 i started using this phone, i could c private callers' id from my P910i and my Nokia N90.
But now, I can't see that again, while my profile remains unchanged on my HLR.
QUESTION!!!!---Does anyone in this forum know what i can disable in my phone setup so as to enjoy this facility again. Please your comments or response are welcomed here or to my email:axeengineer@gmail.com.
