the phone can charge with USB. Ive tried it already and I can see it charging while transferring files.
check if your USB cable is connected properly.

hi, i tried recharging the battery with two diffrent home charger but it doesn't show any sign of being charged. i connected the charger for like 3 hours and stil the same thing. IrDA red light flashes and nothing happens. do u think may be the battery is dead? i called SE customer support but they told me to go to the store and try another battery and call them back to get a new battery. what do u guys think the problem is? i have tried a car charger, 2 house chargers, USB cable but stil no luck in turning the phone back on. i will appriciate any response. thanks

My k800i can't be charge via the usb cable. Is it normal?

lol that mens that your bateri is completle dry you must recharg it with the provided charger not the usb from the computer
the blinking from the irda mens that it dosen't have enogh juce to start

hi i need some help from u guys.
my phone just got turned off and i m trying to turn it on but it doesn't and the red light by IrDA port just flashes and nothing happens. i tried very much everything but no luck. did any one have this problem? please help me. reply me as soon as possible. thanks

Why the K800 doesn't has PTT ? While a simple one like Z550 has this function?

I've tried both the K800 and the N73.
If you want a camera/phone go for the SE but if you want a phone/camera go for the Nokia.
Still think the 810 has the best sound though

I have a sony erricsson K750 and had a K700 before that now i am gettin redy 4 k800. all i can say is sony just keeps gettin better and better. i decided when i grow up i am gona be gona be designing sony erricsson phones =D

That's depend from what you need.
N 73 is a smartphone and K800 is not. So if you want smartphone than you mustn't choose K800.
I think it's not wise if you buy smartphone but you never use it.
From functie and performance, let's wait the review from our friends in this forum who ever use both of them.
But I think SE K800 is better about functie from the camera for still pictuer but not the video.
And maybe N73 has better external speaker because it has 2 speakers. But I don't know how the quality from the music via headset.

Sony Ericsson is the best! Best GUI of all mobile phones. Simplicity is the best. nokia's symbian duh are complicated. Best design and marketing goes to SE.

to everyone who is moaning about screen protectors...just buy a body glove case...keeps the dust out too and helps against any problems with the joystick.

Nokia just like BMW whereas SE is a Mercedes. Both brand has it pro and cons and it own fans, nothing to compare, because it's just two different brand.

I will never, never, never by anything from SE again. Have had K750i for about 2 years and I've had nothing but trouble with that phone. It even got so far so I recived a new phone, nothing helped!
I've booked N93 and will recive it tomorrow.....Thank God!

People who know about feature and performance of today's modern fonz will know that SE K800 is a fon! DON"T mind the Nokia fanz and the arrogance. They keep saying that nokia is the best without a proof. To me they are interested in design! Ask a FON-FREAK who who understands and knows FEATURES that work and he will tell that Sony Ericsson is the best!
I have one guy who is among these Nokia fanz, he has N80;He keep saying that Nokia is the best, but do you know what? One day this my guy came to my place and saw me working on my PC through my K750i and he was baffled.( I have remote messengar in my fon so that I can access my PC right on my K750i via Bluetooth anywhere in the house or even outside my flat as far as i am within range) It happened that this my guy does not know what inrared and Bluetooth means. He only uses his fon to send and receive calls and messeges! Now tell me how he qualify Nokia and SE? Has he tried to send or receive file to and from his fon and see the result? All feasures of SE work perffectly and options are many unlike in Nokia.I am not saying that Nokia is not good but if you want to compare try to see that the fonz you are comparing are in range!
If you are buying fon for its basic use, you can buy any fon but if you are buying a fon for all the funz that the fon comes with and which you want all to work for you, man! Get ya self a Sony Ericsson! Newerv Models! Don't go buy a fon that keeps telling you during file transfer(PC-Fon,Fon-Fon or otherwise)that"the file you are trying to transfer is not in valid format" Or Sloganz like that. LOL.
