          I have just got the K850i on T-Mobile in the UK and it is awesome.Great photo quality and great to use.I did take it back to the shop as the icons on the right hand side of the keypad are not lit up but all 4 phones they had in store were the same so they are looking into that.Does anyone else here have that problem ?

            Both retailers are SonyEricsson certified suppliers, so you can trust them on sales. It's just that, when it comes down to knowing if the quality of the phone is good and the warranty of the phone will be completed when needed, the lower price is usually the sketchy-est, as in this case.

            As well, the first few stores will disclose their current running price while the last store (Watch & Talk) will try to keep their competition (productivity) up and will NOT disclose their higher price.

                @all
                No screen is scratch proof. Resistant, yes. The best stuff i can recommend for scratch protection of any device is this: http://www.shieldzone.com/ It is tricky and takes some patience to install but it is the best thing I've used. I have it on my ipod and w810i and ppl cant tell its on unless you point it out. Allows ipod to still fit into any dock, doesn't blur screen at all on either device. plus it has a life-time warranty. It's this stuff or a sock style thingy. They haven't released one for the k850i yet, said to be a month away. In the k850i's case it would probably cut down greatly on smudges and finger prints. Won't affect touch keys either. Sound like i work for the company, i know.

                  >>>>..even though adjusting settings may still produce a slightly better image. If you check out Esato.com just look for threads of ppl posting pics taken with k850i. You have to register to view most pics. Especiallly check out the ones by plankgatan, he really takes some impressive pics.

                    @ORx1
                    With current software it is capable of supporting up to 32gb mem card. Why it cuts of at 32 dunno but that is what i've read. Currently the largest micro sd/m2 card available to the public is 8gb. Max mem card for micro sd is going up 2gb's every 3-4 months.
                    @Kim Santana
                    The phone is capable of amazing shots. I'd liken it to a 2-3mp standalone digital camera. Check out Esato.com and check some of the pics posted there by ppl who know how to play with settings. You have to register, but will greatly help your decision. As firmwares are released the camera settings will be refined just as they were with k800i. Meaning "auto" mode will produce finer shots w/o having to play with settings even thoguh adjusting settings.
                    @NJM
                    I found the UI to be very easy to adjust to.
                    I guess some ppl have very thick fingers because the keypad is not a problem at all for me. Touch sensitive keys work flawlessly for me. Just have to push right where the lil' white hash marks are. Not on the screen, but on the edge.

                      to w0QN,

                      K850i is available in the Philippines
                      since three weeks ago.
                      in fact i already ordered mine
                      from Baguio City
                      and i will be receiving it on the 16th
                      when my friend will arrive...
                      i'm in Toronto where K850i is priced CAD$724.00
                      compared to it's price in the Philippines
                      which is about CAD$510.00

                        I just got this phone as a part of my upgrade with my carrier. I am a dedicated SE fan and loved the W850i, and was undecided between the w910 and the K850 - worst decision I ever made with the K850. Sure, the camera quality is really good, but I have a Sony 6MP camera so I'm not using the camera that often anyway. The keypad, buttons and touch scren keys at the top are a disaster, the phone is bulky and the user interface is a lot more difficult to use in that you have to go into several different menu's to get to what you want (case in point - getting to your music, which I do a fair bit). I'm really disappointed with this phone, I'm trying to see if I can take it back and exchange it for a w910, which ok doesn't have the flash camera but I've had a play with a friend of mine's and it is heaps better.

                            I was reading a lot of reviews, most were negative about it's camera. I would love to own one. But, can someone please tell me how to obtain a good picture before i make a final choice.

                              This phone is BETTER then the N82.
                              THIS PHONE SUPPORTS TRI-BAND HSDPA SO IT IS NORTH AMERICA FRIENDLY!
                              What happened Nokia? You can't keep your phones looking under 2cm, and now even though it was included in the N95, you guys opted out on the HSDPA multi-availability on the N82?
                              You've just lost a few dozen million customers that were eager for your phone. Now they will either turn to the thick, slow, vulnerable to freeze N95 OR the faster at taking pictures and quality rocking K850.
                              Nokia just keeps digging themselves into a deeper hole.

                                      i'd rather choose n95 which camera's also 5mp .. PLUS having whole bunch feature than k850
