good points...
nice sizes, very good camera, doesn't lock up,good software, takes 2 types of memory card, and video has improved 320 x 240
Bad points....
when taking a picture your finger natural goes near the pin hole (light senor) by the flash and it makes it take a bad photo, video is no were near as good as the old n73 or the nearly 3 year old samsung E530 ehich is 352 x 288 the n95 has video of 640 x 480 its as good as a camcoreder, the center buttons 2 and 5 are out of line so its hard to text fast and the biggest problem by far is the buttons they are way to small they are the smallest on any phone i've seen and i am a guy and have a little bit of a nail on my thumb and when i use the keys 3 6 9 down the right hand side of the phone i can't press the key as my nail hits the phone before i can press the button all the way down, i try using my nail to press the button which is usually ok but the buttons are that small it slides off, its that bad i'm sending my phone back and sticking with the k800! which works great and has none of these problems, i might have to get a n95 eek which i don't really want to get because software is bad and when you shoot video the light stays on and uses yor batter life up when you are trying to record gigs or birthday part etc like all nokias (shite) no light comes on with the sonys phones K800 K810 K850 etc ( damn buttons some retards in the sony company to not see thats a problem) will cost them millions in sales because of it doh!

I have the K850i and it isn't a bad phone at all. Yes it's got a few bugs but these will be resolved very quickly by Sony Ericsson. They are very good with firmware updates. Trust me you will not regret buying this phone. The camera is excellent.

anyone have any idea is the user interface of K850 is similar to K810? I remember reading somewhere they have changed the user Interface for K850.
Anyone care to enlighten

VISHAL, the comparison between the K850i and the N95 is unfair! They both serve different purposes! I don't understand why people compare the N95 to the K850i, for god sake. It's fine to compare their cameras' capabilities. However, since they both are different phones, it's still not 100% fair to compare their cameras.

Yup, I totally agree with you all! I am not sure K850i is that bad but I am happy with my K810i, the best phone I ever had!!! So as my W610i!!!

K850;
600 now, PMall's brought the price up because 550 was the pre-order price. Same with the W910, pre-order continuing until this wednesday.
Cheaper if you pre-order. Even though they have a stock, they'll still get shipments. Cheaper if you pre-order on a shipment. 580 for those willing to wait an extra week or two for the next K850 shipment from PMall.

Does it have the flash light mode? i mean if u can keep the flash on for some times so u can used as a torch!!

The HGE-100 is said to have maps for 130 countries already.
Possibly, you're able to download more maps either off of 3rd party websites, or even directly from Sony Ericsson (in the country website that you want) for a small price of a dollar or two, most likely...

@ Mario:
If you mean that at night, when the xenon flash fires and your pictures still come out very dark, then you will have to:
1. Remove the plastic film off the back of the K850i. It blocks the light sensor next to the LED light, and the camera will not 'know' about how dark the room is.
2. Don't cover the light sensor with your fingers.
I had the same problem at first; I then removed the plastic film from the back and presto!
Hope this helps, because the K850 is a really good cameraphone.

Vishal. Appreciated your review/input on the two phones. I know you said in your review that your prefer the n95 for daylight pictures. Do you feel the color reproduction of the n95 is true to subject? I do not own n95. The pictures I have seen taken w/n95 seem to over enrich to the point of artificial, which is some photos can be more pleasing to the eye. Also, just curious if the k850i and w950i are the first SE's you have owned. I have found both UI on nokia and SE quite easy to use. SE has been more "intuitive"(right word?) to me. Thank you again.

small screen .. no Wi - Fi ...and alot !!
poor camera...look at 5MP shoot review :P !!
and a very bad firmware even the N95 first firmware is far best..

yes that's true. There is no need to replace K810i. It's the best in it's class.

hi guys, i have been buying SE since the T68i days. i used almost all of them.
but im really dissapointed with the k850, its a bad phone.
the screen is not as sharp as the K800/810
new buttons are hard to use
camera has nice controls but the picture quality is poor. the k800/810 has a much better camera
the touch screen button arent very user friendly
i wish i didnt replace my k810 with this :(
