It's really better than Nokia's high end phones. P1i hardly takes 45seconds to start up and i feel that your mobile has got serious problem or else it's not original. Better consult customer care or service centre. I love this phone and qwerty keboard a lot. It's easy to use and i can type without looking at the keyboard. Really amazing phone and has lots of applications for business purpose. I recommend P1i for those who likes to sms, mail and browse regularly.

I've had it for a few months now, and one of the things I had to really get use to is the slow speed of the phone. I have a 1GB card installed but virtually nothing saved in it, and yet, whenever the phone is switched off and then on again, it takes 30 mins or more to finish loading the system and allow me to use the contacts and messages applications. 30 mins is a long time. I also hate the fact that it automatically switches to touch screen when the phone rings, so if you have it in your pocket, the screen may be touched accidentally and the phone answers itself. The vibration and the sound was weak. I missed a lot of calls if I'm not paying attention. There's only one jack for the earphone/charger/data transfer so you can't charge as you listen to the radio as the radio uses the earphone as the antenna and doesn't work without it. As a camera and music player it is perfect. I love the sound quality I get when I use the radio function. The camera takes a while to load and take pictures - as I said the phone is slow - but I like the quality and ease of use. The jog dial and qwerty keyboard is a curse rather than a blessing, and I wasn't impressed as I was when I first tried the P910i. The P910i made me a fan of sony ericsson, but this P1i is about to make me go back to a Nokia.But I find the connectivity is average, the internet capability is slow, it is not smart enough to find the fastest connection and it can't detect wireless networks, although my Dopod could. The reason I gave it a try was because someone said it is the iphone for business people. They are not wrong. The iphone is full of with flaws, and so is P1i. I wonder if business people are supposed to have so much time on their hands such that they can wait for 30 mins to start using their phone upon startup.....

sergio, 01 Aug 2008this is a question what is la lited of the card slot sup... morei can confirm that it can support 8GB M2 memory card because i am using one! currently, 6.3Gb of my memory card space is used and i dont notice any speed lag difference.

So the question is where do i go from there?? I'm quite disappointed as I upgraded my phone via the SE website..how come...any experts out there pls assist!!!

The battery drians easily and does not indicate if fully charged.GOD IT DOESN'T HAVE A FLASH PLAYER

I just got the P1i but my network operator does not have a 3G network where i am presently. I tried changing the network setting to GSM only but couldnt make or recieve calls. Please what can i do?

Good...... it's still good with P1's functions. But however it still has some weakness such as Internet Browser. It's not so quick. If it's connected with WiFi... fine it's quick but it's connected with GPRS(2G)... Oh! Lord.. It's so slow... Later i suppose there will be a new phone that upgrading from P1 to other phone... that have more capacity than this. This is my third time of using P1i.

You may want to try updating your phone's firmware which generally includes any software updates!

Just got this phone about 1 month after I sold my P990i, one word for this phone: Excellent ! I love my P1i with so many thing I can customize not only in my work by also my entertainment. I can MOD sound and install WM 3.0 with great sound !!! This phone is great !!!

Just received my P1i less than 7 days ago. JUST LOVE IT!!! It does everything I need. Menu's was easy to get used to (I've used a Nok N70). Received the navigation kit with the handset.Working beautifull but cannot hear the voice prompts. Any help on how to adjust the volume???
