            @ Rowan

If you had to choose between the first n95 and SEp1, witch one would it be? Thats the choice I'm faced with, and for me the diff. in price is about 50$.

After a call from my contact list I am prompted to add this number to my contact list although it is already there. Does anybody know why this is so?
Secondly, can anybody tell me which functions are active during flight mode?

                    Hi everyone;
I was always in love with Nokia and I've never had a SE handset. I just lost my brilliant N81 in a tragic event few days ago. I was wondering if P1 is a good option for me or not? I use textings, lots of jar and sis softwares e.g. dictionaries, take pictures and listen to music.
What do you suggest? Should I go for a P1 or still catch a Nokia cell? E51 is great, but I don't like the design.
I'm really confused and I don't wanna waste my money. I'm still shocked for losing my lovely N81. God rest its soul!
I love P1, but please help: Is it REALLY lovely? Performance, WLAN, camera, softwares, EVERYTHING... are they all ok?

                    Please answer me at: a.banijani@gmail.com

                    Thanks for your responses.

As far as i know i'm using Nokia and SE, for me is SE is the best phone for pic n mp3, Nokia phone mp3 ok, the problem is not the phone or brand, how good the phone or expensive, if the user does not know how to use or handle it, same has notebook or computer. so do read the spec n menu, do not any how press or do the thing that can make it r phone spoil or problem.. SO I LIKE TO SAID THAT IS MOSTLY USER PROBLEM....DO U ALL AGREED>>who ever think what i said is right or wrong.. sorry.. so send me some comment thank god bless the user..(may be the phone can't take it with the user so it HANG hheee)

since its hand writing recognition is good, just want to ask if it has no bugs at all ? i mean it dont restart or hang coz some phone are like that, like the nokia phones, after some time of using it, it hangs then restart ..

                                I love this phone!!!

I have always been a Nokia user and swore to never change brands as I had a bad experience when I switched to Samsung in the past.

But on gsmarena I saw some good SE reviews so I decided to switch
and I am very happy having done that!

This phone has got just about everything I need and it works great.
                                Good value for money.

The phone came with wayfinder gps and it works a treat, even picked little side roads and roundabouts
at a local mall's parking lot as well as rerouted when I pusposely went wrong to test it.
The gps has voice commands as well.

The Music Player and Radio works great, (headphones could be better) and I like the mega bass
                                equaliser.

Camera is cool, maybe I expected more features on the camera but hey it works
well and I have taken some great shots with it.

It has loads of other features that work great and there are quite a number of downloadable apps.

One thing I recommend is go to www.gdesk.com download the Iphone theme and then this rocks!
It adds amazing functionality and its quick to get anywhere. The built in interface works well.
There is even an Iphone keylock with the touchscreen sliding bar.

I really enjoy the touchscreen and now find myself touching my computer screena and other mobile phones screens
                                instinctively. Love the touchscreen!!!

And I find I use the handwriting recognition most to write messages and it works so well.
The qwerty keyboard is cool but as many reviews will tell you its quirky, you need small fingers to hit those keys spot on.
It works pretty fast on handwriting or the little digital keyboard you can call up and use with the stylus.
So I don't need to use predicitve text on this phone and I used it all the time in the Nokia..

It wants to send messages as two or three messages if they are long messages whioch the Nokia sent as one message
so this is odd but no problem.

It can do a load of things the Iphone can't and with the Iphone theme it has similar functionality.

One thing I really love is that I can have like 10-20 apps open at once and it just keeps working,
one doesn't even realise so many apps are open. On my Nokia I had to open and close one or two apps, maybe 3 at the most.

I got Fring to work on it so yes VOIP works fine.

I downloaded a DivX Player for it recently and that works as well.

The Wireless and bluetooth works great as well, I have a home wireless router and so cool to be able to browse fast at home and wifi hot spots.
I prefer the Opera Mini browser to the built in Opera browser but either one works cool.

Battery life is okay, it lasts a day on hard use.

Lastly I just love the jog dial wheel...I thought I would miss the keypad joystick on the Nokia
but no I don't, the jog dial is so cool to use...pressing it in selects and there is a back but just below it.
so it quicker to select thing in my opinion than with the joystick system, well touchscreen adds to the the speedy use.

Overall I am really happy, won't easily change it for anything else on the market right now
except maybe an N95 (at almost double the price) but vlaue for money makes the P1i a winner.

P1i supports 8GB M2 n will support upto 32GB. at least not crippled like n73 n oda earlier nokia phones up to 2GB lol...also now slow down yet wat so ever coz i got 2,000 songs in aacPlus format n pics taking up to 3GB space.

phone recognises the card as 7,691MB (8GB)

I recently bought a SEP1i. 2 problems: - underscore character very useful when writing e-mail adresses is not available on the keyboard. - It hangs at least twice a day and regularly during the night and cannot be restarted without removing the battery! What if I have an emergency call at that time? Please kindly help. Cheers.

P1i hand writing recognition is superb.
its automatically detect what have you write.
                                      coz i'm using it now.

if u wana buy windows mobile based OS, me suggest you to wait SE Xperia X1. its more powerful than HTC Cruize.

P1i sound quality is good, the 262000 screen sharp and bright.
and you can do customize the theme. u can download the theme free. and can change the icon.

i'm satisfied with my P1i, now waiting for X1.

                                      peace...

I am due for a phone upgrade at the end of April, and I am in 2 minds between the SE P1i and the HTC TytnII - I have done loads of research, and they seem to be pretty similar in terms of features.
The P1i is a lot less visually appealing than the TytnII.
The TytnII has better processing power, and is Windows Mobile Based as opposed to Symbian.
The TytnII requires me to pay in around R2000-00, and I am not sure that better looks can be justified.
                                        Any suggestions?
