just want to ask if the handwriting recognition of this phone is good ? thanks ..

After drooling for an entire month on P1 i finally got my dream smartphone. it's not as intense and hardcore as the n95 but the P1i's sexy look and qwerty hybrid keypad is such a killer(messaging heaven. Surprisingly even if it's only wifi b, signal reception is ok and browsing the net is a breeze compared to the n95. The display is big, bright and crisp and i wasted no time installing a divX player app and feeding it with full length movies, A mobipocket reader chock full with bestsellers and classics (LOTR anyone?), Fring for VOIP, A neat dictionary to help brush up my vocabulary and a separate music player app that better suits my needs. Next on the list is to supe it up with an 8GB memstick and a cool bluetooth in-ear music headset. cheers!^^V

I can accept not having HSDPA, but, in a phone released on May 2007, the lack of 802.11g is criminal. An "old" Nokia N80, released on 2005 supports 802.11b/g.

It's a great phone and better than nokia. This phone is very user friendly like nokia. To apply theme, goto main menu>control panel>device>themes>Select a theme of ur interest from the list of themes displayed on the screen. If u want more themes go to www.mobile9.com.

SE P1i is great its so exciting to use specially for me because its my 1st time having sony ericsson w/c is a lot different from nokia. Could you pls. tell me how to apply themes on my P1i because its different from applying themes on nokia w/c is more easier to do. Thanks for the others who would bother to answer.

Dear All,
To Install new language to P1i,you have chose language package, for P1i is P1_language_files_CXC162108_R6F41 download it to your PC and unzip to C:/program files/sonnyerricson/mobile 4/downlad language,from website www.Sonyerricson.com
Than you connect your P1i into pc use PC suite,on menu chose download language=> chose language =>follow instruction till operation done.

Some calls from contacts only displays the number and not the name. After the call I am prompted to add this number to my contacts?? It's already there!! How can it be fixed?

Hi, When forwarding messages to people it automatically puts 'forwarded from' and the number on the text when someone else receives it - is there a way of turning this off at all?

Im a user of p1 for at least 6 months now and not even 1 day that I got dissapointed in using the phone. I keep in touch with my family without worrying to much about my battery being empty and i provides me enough battery power for multimedia and heavy texting.

bought dis phone 3 months ago..ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT..till it started actin' up!d screen kept on restarting itself and i just cudn't turn it on anymore..it'll just go on d loading screen and restarts again..anybody had dis problem???
can it still be fix...
