You can't type a message using 1hand, its a misery especially for long messages. But you can go through the menus using one hand with the jog dial and back button.

hi guys. thinking of buying this phone. pls help me... is it possible to text message using one hand?
cause, i think the design of qwerty is more meant to be used with 2 hands. but there are occasions in which u need to do things on ur phone with only 1 hand.. so i just wanna know

well i guess u were a very lucky p990 user since most ppl had problems with p990.Well now i have sold my p990i after getting sick from it. i was using the firware r6d23 and after having hanging problems with it, i upgradaed it to r6e28 but the problems of hanging didnt not solve.now i am doin some research on p1i before making a decision to buy it.
havent u ever thot of using window based i-mate phones.don u think that window software is better and more stable them symbian.

Thanks alot for SonyEricsson producing a special Arabic edition , with Arabic keyboard and Arabic Handrwriting recognition facility , and including some necessary application for Arabs & Musliums

BUT !!! Why you didn't made the keyboard combine both Arabic and English letters ? you could do that easily on smller buttons on other mobiles , why you couldn't do it on the P1i ?

@ Blue...its a smart business phone. Only problem with this phone, is if you are in a hurry to send sms, chances are that you might type in a wrong letter because it is qwerty; for every keypad there is 2 letters in it. or you will have to use the stylus for touch screen letters........
Smart business phone and qwerty keypad...need i say more than that???

'A windows program can not read 3gp'...ever heard of k-lite mega codec??? reads every single audio/video file out there!...well every one I have thrown at it!!!

I am using this phone for almost 2 months with no hanging problem.
Only two disadvantages it has:
1-If you try to read a sms, you have to go out and then select the next sms. it means you can not select the next or previous when you are reading one sms.
2-if you use its fantastic camera for a movie, a windows program can not read this file ( its extension is 3gp!)

Yes i used P990i but bot faced that problem Dear when ever u r going to post the Comments u must have to write the Firmware which one u r running with
The Latest one is R9GA001
What is the Made by ur set is?
If u r using any Previous Firmware then u must have to Upgrade it
Difference in P1i Or in P990i
both things r good in P1i
1-Ram
2-Display is better in Direct under Sunlight
Other wise nothing change

in Phone book
We Cant write as much as we want in Messages and in Notes
In Phone book we add more then 14 fields in a Single Name and there is only single option to Add Mobile Field (Mobile) thats realy bad thers no Zoom in option in Call Log Field Text size is small in Every Field otherwise nothing still bad what i found
