to rommel: I didn't get to use p990i but as regards managability, I think p990i is preferable(i didn't say better) because of its "not-an-experiment-keypad".. P1 keypad is a sick sh*t~!

i've had this phone for bout 1month now.. and you know, it offers great features but it isn't worth it.. The navigation and operation is really sick.. It's not the kind of thing that you will get used to in the course of time.. it's a true headache.. The messaging feature is great, but typing is not.. Using the keypad and navigation is a true nightmare.. even if u have used it in a long time.. U will not get used to it, u will just have a long time of headache.. 'm planning of changing to n73.. don't buy this..

why is the rating for this phone so low? its one of the best phones with the most features out currently and to think that it doesnt even score over the 8 point mark is unbelievable

I want one of these, still got my old p800 and love it but must be time to update.

As for the person who suggested looking at samsung i600, I have used these and would run the other way. Invisible passwords are impossible to type as keypad picks its own modes. Nice idea, very bad implementation and that is without paying out on windows mobile faults for us mac users.

"SE prices its high end products way too high initially.. look at Nokia E61i almost same features.. and its damn cheap..."

yeah and it's price don't go down so easy as nokia does, which tell us it's fine quality and low-depreciation rate=D. this was what matters in being a luxurious "flagship".

I guess apple's big mistake is presenting the iPhone too early and making people wait for it to be released til next year! Eventually by the time it has been released most available phones probably had copied some of its WOW factors and people had totally forgot it. As for This SE phone, am sure that it will be ahit. If you take a look, SE never or hardly release a lotof UIQ phones, they make sure that each released phones had been abused before releasing another, in this way people using the old Ps would be somehow fed up with it and be excited with the new P like this. Unlike with nokia, they tend to shower their consumers with a lot of varieties and forms but if you'll analyze it all of it are literally identical.

Dose it support the Arabic language? At least writing and reading, Because I don't want to face p990i problems.

                                Hmmm...
Sony Ericsson P1 VS Apple iPhone.
I think more people take Apple.

Many people quetch about the lack of HSDPA and Higher-Spec'd WIFI G . but look at it's system specs; 256Mb Flash(160-166Mb free) and 128Mb RAM, isn't that worth mentioning? the Significant improvement over the RAM management of the OS and the doubled RAM and ROM capacity will definitely make better productivity and performance for more serious business people and even hardcore multimedia geeks, also attracting developers to create more serious and more powerful applications. isn't this what matters MOST for a smartphone?
