Just because it connects to the wireless-router (LAN) doesn't mean you've connected to the internet. You need to set IP address, dns etc. Make sure you run the internet accounts wizard and set it up properly

when i turn on the wireless then connect to the internet and start searching for any site the mobile gives me a message ( couldnt locate remote server )
i want to know is there a problem with my phone or its just the wifi modem i`m connecting to

Install fring and you're done!

If u r using the Previous version and there is option for Check the New Version (Check for Update) then Uncheck it and Reinstall the Version which one for u r trying to Install....

How the wifi works ? I want to bye this phone , but I hear some things about the wireless , that you must be really close to the receiver if you want to have any signal .

i am a staunch P- Series user, proudly owning p-800, p-910, and now p-990, when i came across p-1 it is not upto the "p" mark in design, with no real dedicated keyboard, and function wise it is a p-990 with new looks, and a little better battery life. Nothing more, so i had no reason to move on, lets see what next they pull out of the hat. If u are a new user, believe me there is nothing better then a Sony Ericsson P series.

Hey i been using this phone for almost a month, and i'm really impressed, but i have to sell it.. i have it to pay my mom (lol), i'm not kidding :(
also i was cheking the HTC TYTN II, both are almost the same, but i prefer this one (cheaper) :D
