My only problem with my SE P990i is the scratchy sounds during playback of the video being recorded especially if it's recorded with a lot of noise or people talking, i really hate it. Anyone knows how to correct this thing?

is the battery equivalent to w580 or nokia e50 or n73 or lesser then that... plz reply .. any one who has used p990i and any of these fones.... coz my battery last for just half a day in p990i.. wher as in nokia e50 and n73 one day was sure... plz advice... asap

Hey guys is the processor in d p990i really slow? considering the fect that p1i users find the 128 ram slow,hoe well does the p990i perform with just a 64mb ram? Do you think this model will be phased out soon due to the launch of the p1i ?

This is the latest update 16th Feb 2007/2 Generic R9GA001. Se hav stopped revision as new updates of W960 or P1 would sufice been UIQ 3.Now the Design looks dudd Brick but software is stable n this Chinese assembled P990i.The parts joints front keypad removable screws donot fix again n same slot when refixing the front keyboard,they r loose. a typical chinese Pain.The quality is compromized at customer expense.....

I am new to sony ericsson but not the firmware. I currently have the imate jasjar and the Tungsten W and I have the treo 680 for work. I have not seen many website forums for the P990. I like the P990 but the community for it is not good as palm or imate. If any one have any question or any applications that they would like to share please email me.

i have a problem with my unit if i open the camera the unit will not respond (it hung up and stop) i need to remove the battery and open it again, what will be the problem of this and the cause? is there a way to fix it? my unit is sony ericssonp9901 orange. i was told that it was made in germany (Is this correct?) and they dont have a software to fix it. where sony ericsson service center in manila philippines will i go to fix it? please let me know i need my phone work again. ill be happy to receive a response in my email

To cplover, i am also using 2 gb card on p990. When i had bought this card, on the packing of the card it is only written that it is for psp but i am using this card perfecrly but a liittle bit slower. So my advice go with 2gb not with 4 gb. I am using this from last 3 months

can someone pls answer because i am asking this for a very very long time already.can i use sony memory stick pro duo HIGH SPEED for my p990i? has anyone tried it? namely 2gb or 4gb memory? pls take note of the high speed part. cause msproduo and msproduo high speed are diffrnt. high speed is the one they say usually used for psp. so i was wondering if that is compatible with p990 too., please reply asap. please. i beg you to., :c

i bought this phone a while ago , suddenly the touch screen is goin nuts ! i mean i cant click on ne icons whn the flap is open ! cant calibrate n resetting the phone wont do ne good ! help !

can p990 display the today homescreen when the flip is open just like in w960? pls help. i cant find it on the settings of the fone. really appreciate ur response thnx

hi. thanks for the info. my unit is made in france. it is the first time i saw a unit with a different letter sequence- that's why it caught my attention. thanks again...
