hi all
i am using p990 for 6 months now.. really it is a great phone .. no problems at all with this phone. i am using my phone now 2 write my opinion here .. sending and reciving emails.. wifi is working great...watching videos is amazing. mp3and FM are great.camera is sooooooo great..better than nokia..

Hi! guyz,I have my phone for 3 monthz now,and it never gave me any sort of faultz! but juzt today,while standing from those long chairs on kitchens,the phone juzt felt and since then it'z just switching off by itself! Do u guyz have any idea what it might be and if it can repaired?

The same thing happened to my old K700i
the water damages the electrical circut
maybe you were lucky and no "shortage" in the circut happened , and also when its turned off , no damage could happen
they might blown it with air in the repair shop and dry it
to protect there side , they canceled your warranty , and when its fully dried you could turn it on
but beleive me , problems would appear
the worst nightmare for a cellphone is WATER !

i got a funny story to tell you guys:
so last week i go to the jacuzzi with my girl, and as im walking in the jacuzzi i noticed that my phone is in my pocket, i was like ohh $hiat!!!, so i get it out, and as soon as i did that, it crashed and turned off, never turned back on, so the next day i call sony ericsson and told them that the phone doesnt turn on for some reason, so i sent it to the Sony Ericsson phone repair place and i just got it back today, on the letter it says :
"dear Sony Ericsson customer, your phone was due to water damage, and it is not covered in your 1 year warranty, so it is unrepaired" so i just turned it on and it works perfectly, i mean the speaker volume is so much better now, too! the only bad thing is that i think the battery has a shorter life, but i couldnt care less about that. but i was wondering, does anyone here know what the heak happened to my phone that its fixed now?

What I read from it I assume that the quality is not top af the range, nor bottom. Just average.
After I read alot of reviews, the most important thing is to put on the latest firmware first, because the firmware that it comes out with is very buggy. But Im going to get myself one none the less, very good phone for it's price range.
Do a search on google, you will find all your answers there.

and what are the video formats which it can play ???
btw what is the connection speed when you connect 990 tp internet through gprs..i presently have nokia 6630 which gives a speed of 460.8 kbps and it has a 220mhz processor with EDGE technology... while P990 has a 208mhz processor and doesn't have EDGE...so what will be the speed in P990 ??

If you buy the handset from proper dealer and update it with latest firmware it wont hang. I am using P990 since last 5 months it has hanged only once.

Hello All,
I have read some people are facing problem regarding timestamp in Messages. Well make sure in your PC the Zone is set to your current one, For example if your time is 1:00 AM with zone Pakistan and you live in India and your Mobile Headset Zone is India then it will set the time according to Zone, so you will always get difference of time.
Along with, any one in Pakistan using 4GB of Memory Stick, How much does it cost?
