so i can put a 1 gig memory card in my sep990
is their any disvantage of putting a higher memory?? how about the speed??? does a 1gig memory affect it or higher memory too? pls reply....thanks thanks...:)

maxwell, 01 Oct 2010jed marikina riverbanks mall 3K includes charger and 1g of... morehey, maxwellÜ i think the 3k you mentioned is second-hand. i recently borrowed my bro's p990i (in fact i'm using it right now to post this) and i've fallen in love with it =P. i was planning to buy nokia n72 but i'm having second thoughts. though p990i is "classicky" and a little slow (i could deal with the slowness), i'm thinking of buying one. i really love the touch screen and qwerty combination, not to mention i've always had an se phone. do you, by any chance, know where i can buy it brand new?Ü i know it's a long shot since it's like four years old but just the same i wanna ask. thanks a lot!Ü

Hi DK. Back then, when I was still using this phone, I have experienced the same thing. What I did was to have it fixed by a subject matter expert (a technician).
Upon my observation, they just updated the phone again; only with a little difference--they updated it while it was connected to a power supply, which, conversely, was connected to a computer.
The rationale, I suppose, is that when S.E. phones are being updated, they consume a high amount of energy from the battery. Therefore, it is never advisable to do the update process using only the battery as your power source(unless you have a very good battery life--which is actually very rare nowadays).
The only solution I could suggest now is either one of the following:
(1) Bring your P990i to a technician (subject matter expert) and defray for the fee that they'll be charging you (only about 500 pesos if you live in the Philippines), or
(2) Update it by yourself. However, you must purchase the necessary tools.
The first option is cheaper, I suppose.

!.The phone battery drained out just before the update installation was about to complete and since then the phone has never booted up to a functional state though it switches on to a blank grey screen.!
I fear if this is a irrecoverable flaw.

please tell me how to use its wireless function because if you goes to wlan setting you will see many wireless network shown (if exist) but when you try to open they dont open so please tell me how to use that

rty the latest bolt browser version 2.11 and after installing it try to access youtube.com > click a video > it will show a window saying press to play > then it will show a pop up window to set your phone > click play video > if it does not work click "no" then "ok" > click video again and see if it will work if yes click "yes" then ok > if it will work try again.. but i doubt that this will not work hahahah i have operamini 4.2, operamini 5.2 and bolt 2.11 all at the same time hahahahahaha

go to the sony ericsson online support using a computer and make sure you have the usb cable to attach your mobile to your pc the customer service will do it for you online ..

there are 4 screw after you remove the battery the 2 screw at the bottom are long they hold the flip and the front case the next 2 srew holds the back case to the monther board.. pop the bottom first dont be affraid to braek it ok now dont forget that the camera cover has a small trigger that automatically open your camera because if you forget you can open close the cover but it wont work hahahahah .. thats it no drama's hahahahahah

I want to install another language on my p990 but the phone needs a software named: SEMCSEZPlatformID to install the language file on the phone.
I searched the internet but I couldn`t find it.
Anyone here has this SEMCSEZPlatformID software or knows where can I find it?
