I've updated my P990 with R9F011, there is major improvement for handwriting recognition, now is very fast.
But my Vijay golf can not be played anymore :(

hi i have the firmware (R9EC001) is it real that the latest update is a major diffrence does it solve the speed and ram problems does it worth the update or just keep the old firmware any advice plz from some one who tried it thanx.

ei... pips. i upgraded my firmware to the latest one R9F011. the fone is really fast but i hate the alarm though. the volume became so low even in the maximum level. can we do sumtin' bout that probs? any help is much apreciated...

Dude, to disable 3G, open the flip, tab on menu, tools, control panel, connection, mobile network, then tab on the arrowhead beside the word mobile network right at the top of the screen, u will see GSM/3G networks, tab on it, u will see gsm only, gsm/3g or 3g only, chose ur selection n tab DONE. cheers

is there a way to disable the 3G on my p990i?? coz i think there is a problem wid the 3G of my service provider so dats y i hav no signal ryt now, but when i slap in my sim card to a non 3G device there is a signal... is there a way to disable the 3G on my fon?? thanks

Hi, I am new Bangladeshi user of SE p990i but tired with its flaws. I need to update software. When I tried to launch updating software the computer says to install newer version of flash player though it has flash 9. Pls help me to solve the proble.

that means transition effects can be turned off. meaning faster application starting and lower RAM requirements.

It does not have any satelite connectivity built-in system. There's no phone with this. Maybe you can buy a receiver.
What do you mean by PDA file? P990 IS a PDA phone. Maybe you mean documents? It supprts word, excel and Pdf+.

If you loved the P900 you will hate this phone. Its so difficult to use and seems to have a mind of its own. I like sony Ericsson but they really missed the mark with this one. I should of known with all the delays that things were not going to turn out well. You should have a really good think before getting this phone, it looks good but the software is rushed and Im getting rid of mine ASAP.
