thats right its just the menu part that becomes fast hopefully it will get fixed in the next software update

hello guys..read ur opinions...friends im usin sony ericsson P910i for last 9 months and i swear its damn awesome phone..i was thinkin of buyin P990i..im from india..plz tell me if that phn really has hanging problems or not?...its a bit expensive here so i will rely on ur replies..plz reply

I checked the media player thing, it does not speed up the whole phone really, just some graphics. And I looked at Swiss Manager - even if you close all the apps in the Task Manager, in fact the Media PLayer is not closed. It is a little problem of the software.

try starting the demo file and 1 or 2 applications and in the task manager tap the option end all the phone will stay fast until the next restart i think we got to do this till the next update i updated my cell 4 times but its doing the same thing i think this will be fixed in the next update for sure.keeping fingers crossed.

Yes. After running the demo video file (during half way, using back button i came out), the phone is very fast in bringing the menus....but once i close mediaplayer..it becomes as usual..I mean the speed is ok for me..

r9 firmware is great but suck runing some java games. stable at wireless connection bluetooth fast menu n didnt hang some times it restart jux bcoz runing out of memory. but still got some bug at media player still can fix.

i have updated every time but the same prob. but i ll not sell it bec. i still love this fone. but from now i ll never buy se fones. i have also n 80. the best fone ever made. n now i ll buy n95. to whom who want to buy this fone. plz. dont buy bec. it is useless to cry over spilt milk. i dont know why the people here are brand consious. some querral for nokia n some for se. i think we should be neutral. bec. both the companies dont give money to whom the advertise.
se is not releasing a remarkable fone after the p990i. i think they got lesson that they can only make cameras n music quality but nothing more. go to se menu n see what type of seta are coming.

after i run the media playry the phone is super fast it stays that way if i restart i have to start the media player and press the back button go to task manager and select end all pls try this for those who feel after r9 the phone is still slow i know its wierd but pls let me know what you find out thanks

Bad phone. phone hangs up between calls . Data automatically deletes. Got it repaired twice under warranty but still problems. Sold it. Defected model dont waste you money like I did. Go for N95 this phone is crap.

Wrong question. K800 and P990 are completely DIFFERENT phones. So it is impossible to say which is better.

Man, go to the main menu. Find the System Information - it is where you set the folders etc. There is the info about your system! So the software version, bluetooth version, organizer version and CDA version.
Mine is 162007/1 R4B03. Mine software version is R9EC001. I don't know what your technician was talking about but if he has R3EC version of the software, it can mean that it is really old one!
If you have problems with the phone now:
1. Maybe you have older software than before
2. Possibly you made an upgrade incorrectly.
Check your system information. It will help to solve the problem.

hi guys,
can anyone help me with this problem?
My alarm which i had set up goes on everyday at different times. I am really fed up with the whole thing. I have sleepless nights because of this. Even if my alarm is not set to ring, it still rings and i really find this awkward. Has anyone faced similar problem and can anyone please help me with this.

I had make phone call with se technician and he said that his se center has R3EC for fw early update.he didnt understand about R7 or R9. Do you know what is R3EC means? It's CDA or like what? After ugraded 2 days ago, i found much problem like reboot its self,noisy sound at the background of music and radio,unstable bluetooth,slowly access. Its not happen b4 upgraded.why?

Branded means specified for the operator like Vodafone etc. or for the country. Check your CDA number. There are about 50 CDA versions. Yours is probably Indonesia CDA or other which is different from World Generic 1, 2 or 3. So, check your CDA number, it is about that - CDA means region and/or brand.
