Good day to all.
Hi i was wondering if anyone knows how to set the screensaver to be the showing the TIME. I was using the P910i before and the TIME(CLOCK) will appear once it goes on the blank screen mode. Pls do let me know if anyone know. Thanks.

Sony ericsson P990i is a great phone and it has a high speed internet browsing, unlike any other phone, but there is a default in it which is when I had the synchronization Program for the emails(active sync) some times it hangs. But still is a great phone.

I was going to go out and buy one but decided to wait after my friend bought one. He has the Chinese Version of the P990i and it is full of bugs. I do not want the Chinese verison of the P990i but heard from another friend that is the same and is filled with bugs. I will hold off till the bugs are filtered out of this device.I would give it another 2 months before the old stock is filetered out of the market.

to ravi & other persons ,,,i am in the proceess of bluetoothing my fav vids fron my n80 to p990i & its delivered to the mssge inbox..Anyway somtimes if you do to many they stack up somwere else in the fone out of site till you get the vids transfered to the mem card to free up fone memory then they start appearing one by one in the mssge inbox to be transfered to memory card.WAT happens sometimes tho is these stacked up videos or any other data dont d/load after freeing up fone memory space & clog up fone memory so wen you go to task manager there is nowt selected but wen you got to storage wizard ive only got 4mb spare so out of memory actions occur & you have to force the vids etc to get downloaded to the mssga inbox ....SO in essence if you get out of memory mssges look at your storage wizard to see how much fone memory is left because this cud cause out of memory probs as its done with me if naturally your fone memory is low.This sounds complicated but thats wats been happening to me..Wen im blutoothing over my data its done ticking each vid to transfer so i dont really know how many mb are getting sent BUT were the other vids hide till i empty the mssge inbox is beyond me ???Brill fone using 4gb sandisk card

to turn the backlit of during charging- control panel- desplay- then select auto for both of the options (handheld and car)

Hi everyone, i ve had this phone about three months now. the phone does have a lot of bugs. but i've heard that the R9 firmware will fix all of the bugs. i just dont know when its going ot be availible for download. neither does sony ericsson. does anyone here know when its oging ot ocme out? also does anyone know when the location free software will be out for the iwreless tv? thanks.

Transfering images video and music to your p990 will be 10 times faster than USB if you use the memory stick adapter that came with your p990 and transfer from PC to your memory card slot.

when that happens mangesh,d phone has simply frozen,all u have to do is to hold d off button 4 15 sec to turn it off,then turn it on again,it should be all right.ravi my fone hasnt given me that symptom yet but if u have a 2gb card i think u shuold transfer so application to ur memory card like pics...i did that when i got my card.good luck

hi guys
can any1 tell me if they are getting this message "low on memory, close some applications or delete some unwanted files"? I have nothing running in my task manager and also have a 2gb memory stick pro duo card. Can any1 please help? What is a solution?

I have to say MOST of the negative comments made by users on this forum I have not found in my personal experience with the phone.
I think most of the time users just aren't keeping the phone 'maintained' because unlike simpler phones, you have to be extra savvy with this phone. It's a lot more complicated to use and I had to figure out how to get things working the slow way.
If you have a problem getting music and stuff on it you need to go into your USB setup and change from phone mode to file transfer mode - file transferring will also be a lot faster in that mode.

what's the fuss about the software version? you can update it yourself through sonyericsson homepage!
been using p990 for a couple of months with minor problems when running "heavy" applications, just need to watch for task manager and make sure not many applications are running at the same time.
did video calls, browsing with 3G, browsing with wifi, push email ... etc ... everything works fine. really, it's a great phone, what's the fuss about?
