Man... This phone is lyk the lamest phone ever. Is so slow and the camera is not good for a 2mp. This is not a good phone.

Hello guys! I am posting in this forum for the first time but i have been following this for a long time.A proud user of P990i,with updated firmware.I need help on some issues.
When i a am receiving a file through bluetooth,the phone directly saves it as a message.Is there any option to save it directly to a desired folder,other than moving it from the messages to the folder?

I m new in this forum,i bought my p990i before couple of days,i just wanna know from where i get lot of free themes as well as applications means which web sites?,except mobile9,and zedge. every help is appriciated.thanks

- Damm Slow upon startup. Need to wait at least 3 to 7 min to boot up.
- The software have a massive bug especially on the chinese version set.
- There is a conflict on the software and hardware. Even thow you are using P990I but your UIQ 3 is running P990c software. Which means your P990i Is a chinese version.
- Problem with the synoziation between MS Outlook and your phone.
- Very difficult to find 3rd party application for this series 9 UIQ 3.
- Cannot work and install older version 3rd part software as this software only works on P800, P900 and P910 not on P990.
- Hang very often.
- In times function goes crazy and need to reboot.
- FLASH the main OS for 7 times still same problem...
- Not the right time to buy this phone.. Need to wait SE to reactive their OS and hardware conflict and stablity problem..
- Call SE callback center and they them said they are unable to resolve the problem...

i'm a nokia fan but got really bored with them cos they're all the same,so i opted for the p990i cos its i think its da bomb.so i went out to buy it,the fone has got loads of fault,1.it freezes so ur calls cant come tru u have to restart it,which is really annoying,well thats the main set back bout the fone,this can happen up to 5 times....but i still like it..
2.some application on the phone wont sync wit my pc like transfering songs,photos etc,so i use my nokia then send via bluetooth,but lets keep our fingers crossed and see wat the new firmware will do.
my golf game works well though only played it 2wice,,
generally its good to know this so when/if u get it be aware.i was..good luck

hi, yes today was my 1st day with p990i. I am really impressed. Its the classy phone. You cant check the firmware before you buy the phone. You can only check it once you pay for the phone and open the sealed box pack. The only fault i see is the Vijay Singh Golf game, but i am not interested in games and wont ever open the games folder again on my phone. Rest is all good. Its a nice phone. Go for it guys. I reckon the best in the market and would be a very handy piece for the next couple of years, has all the features.

i have read alot of reviews about the p990 most of them from users..and about %80 of which is negative.however im a nokia perso and i have been on s60 forever..but now i really want t change to something different..currently am on n73 it a nice fone ..but i want to buy the p990..i just love the looks and the feel of it..i know it has so many bugs .but those the good side of it make it worthwhile.i just want someone to tell me if it really that bad

just got this phone today. Its an awesome piece. I had the latest firmware installed. SE rocks...dont think twice...buy 1 and start using it.

it's really a cool phone, it has a 2 megapixel, video call plus a symbian os. what a phone ever, another great phone from SE. for comparison of P990i and P910i just visit Cellphones and Gadgets.

the phnez gr8 yh but still needs sum fixin as it does reebot its self sum times, mine kinda crashes when i turn on my wifi nd open up a web page it says stuff like application clsed nd just goes blank for sum reasn but in every other way i still love ma p990i

I am considering to buy P990, the HTC S620 or the samsung BlackJack (i600). After read so many bad comments on P990 I have almost take a decision to by the HTC or the Samsung. However and in order to make my mind clear, please let me know:
1. How easy (or not) connects to outlook and exchanges information btw (contacts, e-mails, calendar)?
2. How easy it connects with Wi-fi spots and works?
3. How is the battery life?
If there are any other issues that may help me to decide, please let me know.

p990 is really cool phone.i would reccomend to p990 owners to read whole owners manual before using, and use manual for future reference:)) i agree that the phone still has some software issues, however i expect that they will be fixed in future:)

p990i not all work,they seem to be network locked or the software was not tested properly because 4 in ten phones come back not accepting sim cards or the phone reboots on its own this has been experienced in south africa and these are new phones that has never been used the problems are out of box failures and the suppoert sucks at this stage because it can only be sorted out in jhb,so needless to say if you reside anywhere other than jhb you will be very unhappy if this happens to you.
so once again thanks to sony ericsson for the support we dont have yet again our client are really happy after waiting this long for a phone.

I got the p990 recently and got the firmware upgraded...the phone is much more stable now than it used to be...but I still have a nagging problem which I cant seem to get rid off...I often get an error message during web browsing..it says "Application Web, Reason Code kern-exec, Reason Number 0" ... I am guessing it has something to do with memory management...I have plenty of memory left in the phone and on the supplied 64mb card...please help with suggestions on how to solve this problem..thks in advance.
