During my 20 days of daily reading opinions only Mr Sef on 30th oct 06 is lucky,with 4mb MC satisfied.Astonished with SE 990i hang,restarts,freezes,OS n other sambian Nokia is not like this disguesting experience.Why upgrade without any proper tech knowhow.My phone has been refused by local dealers to change or replace only that there is nothing wrong.My life savings ad previous exp of p910 was too better,so i got trapped n change.Now SE u r to be blamed ur international reputation is ruined,i state.

to the question below;
I think you'll find the p990 does not record phone conversations, as none of the previous p-Series phones have either. Which is a great dissapointment, as other SE phones have this feature. There is some great software out there for recording but guess what.... nothing for the P-series.

does any one of you knows if there is an option ot a setting in the p990 for answering the call by just opening the flip? i am still searching my p990 by nothing seems to be here...

Hi PPL,
I dont know if this phone is worth it's price...No EDGE...n i guess its not a Quad Band phone too...Do you really think it is worth its price? Well the Nokia N70 can do almost everythin this can do and is priced much less...this is a great phone to buy but not at the current price...

Correction for something:
It must not be P990 to be blamed for the destruction of SE's image in smartphone lineups: it must be the OS itself: symbian OS...
I think SE must finish it's agreement with symbian with their next P-series smartphone and use better OSes such as Windows Mobile, now Samsung no longer produce symbian phone due to the fact that: symbian has so many problems, the only visible advantage is the number of applications available... but the truth is that some applications makes crashes and restarts... this operating system have already scared away most customers of SE P-series... luckily some got good units but majority of the buyers were already disappointed with it... now

yeah best phone out there....only u got use the ear phone to use the fm radio...other than that....better than all the treos ive owned...600...650...700...gave the last one to my daughter.....SE....awesome.........

to turn on the speaker phone while in the middle of a call..turn jog dial..so the volume srceen show up then hit transfer ..then hit speaker....

Hi to all P990 Users. Would like to seek your help. My PC (instaled with SE PC Suite for Smartphones) does not detect my P990 w USB cable when connected to it. Adobe Photo is able to detect and download images but not the PC Suite. Any setting I need to adjusts? Thanks.

The 4Gb MS Pro Duo works fine in the P990. I put one in last week and now have loads of music on the go. What a great phone. Lot's of people have tales of woe with this phone. I'm curious if many have had issues with Orange ones? Mine has performed flawlessly. Work great with My Mac over Bluetooth as a 3G modem. Wifi great. Stable, no crashes. Does anyone know if there's a setting to automatically go to speaker phone if you open the flip mid call (as on the P900).

P990i has miserably,destroyed SE image,first there were restarts,hangs,damm slow,them came updater end user cannot update through either it hangs or restarts,or even after update 5 tries nothing happened.In the name of cell industry immediately =withdraw=this set as ur batteries,maybe those r the cauze.700us$ have gone waisted and i will never forgive you SE for this cyber crime====

Any end-user of P990i has managed to install an .avi player (like the previous Smartmovie Player for P910i) that can play video with an .avi extension. If available, please let me know the website as I wanted to install this in my P990i. What about Media Hide software for P990i - is it also available.
