Well, after three handsets I've decided to give up on the 990i. Maybe if the software/firmware improves then maybe I'll look again in a month or two.

I ordered my p990i from orange uk, its going to be delivered tomorrow, i will let you guys know as soon as a open it

Please asisst, Is it possible to take notes on the handset and later move them to P.C? Does the handset come with USB cable in the box? for how long can the handset voice record for and can it be used as a dictaphone?

Just received my P990i - so far so good, transferred my contact & message data from P900 using bluetooth, so no problems with restore function.
But can someone explain why the browser (opera)does not give the same functionality as the Opera browser which could be used on the P900 ? - very dissapointed in the embedded browser on P990i - and you cannot upload the current mobile version from Opera - or at least you can download but it will not install !!
Finally does anyone know how to get rid of the embedded bookmarks, as teh only way to establish a home page is to get it to the top of the bookmark list

hey thats so really great to update the soft ware bt now what abt the prices there is a great gap between prices so please wt is the different between them and what is the real prices because here in egypt is too expensive guide me please

hi,
I have been using the p910i for a long time,and was very eager to try out the p990.after reading the negative comments about the phone i had second thoughts,but better sense preveiled and today i am the proud owner of the p990.it is true the p990 is slower in the beginning,and it is quite coomon to get disappointed with it,but however after having an upgrade from their site directly it is not that bad and is quite fast. the phone as it is far ore advanced than the p910i,except for the sound which was the envy of Nokia users,is missing in the p990.i dont say it is bad,but it is not as good as th p910i,.as for the rest of the functions and the usage ...........im lovin it.........So dont bother about the negative talk guys.beg,buy,or borrow tha p990 and enjoy.im sure u wouldnt be dissapointed with it.but dont forget to upgrade,hardly takes 2 hours,and u can do it yourself,and is free.you can find the upgrade in the support section of their official site.www.sonyericsson.com.hope this helped those confused souls(like me).

Help guys!
I set up my wap and mms configuration in the se support site. I received the settings and succesfully installed it. But when I open the web browser, it states that it cannot locate the remote server. Please help me out guys. Thanks!

Hello to all!
I just got the vijay golf game back. Thanks! 1 more thing, I wish that future firmware will make the volume of the music player louder. The sound is just great, but low in volume. I think it is not hardware dependent because the radio is louder.

it's not the SE that cuts the price but the seller, high/price price is caused by some sellers so it's usual to see some shops sell P990 for less 30,000 and some for almost 45,000...

I have one of these and it is a little buggy. Crashes now and the. Very busy with the calender then I have to take the battery out. Overall, really good. The video was really fuzzy and i was disappointed until I found out you can set the quality of the actual video itself. Fine, normal and economy. (Normal is the standard and not sharp at all.) probelms with some WLAN links but I think that's just my settings. Very fast browsing with WLAN. 3G connection seems fine.

Finally SE decided to reduced the price of this phone. I n INDIA its now at 30,200 rs only,when its cuming in the market it have 36,800 rs.
