for all the people whose P990i is hanging and crashing I think you all just got the bad batch because my P990i dosent have all those problems and has been running flawless for 21/2weeks now.I opened as many programs as I could and still no crashing or hanging. guess i'm one of the lucky ones..its a great phone/pda .Hello from NYC.

My husband got this phone yesyerday and he's been playing with it all day! He used to use a HP PDA and he said this mobile is as easy to use as his previous pda. The picture quality is very good and the music/sound quality is brilliant. He hasn't found it sluggish at all. Not crashed etc. He is very happy with it and would recommend it. A good business phone/pda.

Well what a waste of time and money. Yesterday i bought the P990i, today i returned it to Axiom telecom. It is by far the biggest let down ever. The software kept hanging, the device was slow and finally it crashed totally. The business card reader was poor and the unit was not easy to navigate.Felt cheap and was bored after 1 hour. Guys DO NOT waste your money.I am buying the I mate Jas Jam instead. 6 months of waiting for 6 hours of crap useage!!!!

it's a damm bulky and ugly phone according to my view it is a flop phone by sony ericsson. and i have purchased it yesterday and i have lot's of complications with this phone.plzzzzz dont buy this phone as it may be ur unnecessary expense !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You made me disappointed because I m about to buy P990i. Pls tell me what are the major problems with SE P990? Also Do you recommend me I-Mate JAMIN?

i just bought the p990i and feel i made a mistake,it hangs a lot and looks are also not very good.i feel the imate jamin was a better pda,made a great mistake

hey guy's sonyericsson updater again upgrated today u must download that and it auto begin to upgrade.try it on p990i and tell us does it resolve the application problem that the privous upgrade have been made?

the next p series won't be released until Oct 2008 and will consist of an octocore (8 cores) processor running at approx 1.5GHz and a 4 megapixel camera with 4x optical zoom and dvd quality video

guys does anyone use cingular with p990i here in the US? how's the signal strength? cuz p990i doesnt have the 850mhz. but ive used my cingular with other triband fones w/o the 850mhz and it worked perfectly well.

Im so excited to get it!!! i just placed my order on ebay and its gona come in 2 or 3 days! omg, i hope im gona enjoy the p990i.

I just recently bought the P990i and I actually really like it. Pro's of the are, battery life, loudness of both ear and speaker phone, signal stability, touch screen, wi-fi, camera takes really good pictures, and more. The cons that i've noticed: kind of slow, screen could use more pixels, browser hard to use, system is hard to use, feels very plastic (doesn't feel solid or worth 800 to 1000 dollars), and flimsy number pad. ALl in all, I'll give it a 8.0 out of 10, but it definitely needs a serious firmware update.
