What is in it just 2mp camera thats not important thing colour display same like Nokia not friendly user like Nokia
some people r talking about buggs in Nokia P990 also is buggy no Egde Gprs class 10 now look at N93 thats great very good i m not saying thats bad but features r most advace TV out put 30fps image quality Vedio quality
i dont under stand y the SE is behind then Nokia still they didnt annonce any new set price is same of both sets then i will preffer Nokia N93 thats great

Just called O2 UK and the P990i officially releases on 2nd November. It seems every week I call they add another week to the release date. Should I stop calling? Maybe that might encourage them to release the phone...

I just bought the p990 after one year of waiting and hopping for it to be perfect and guess what it really is::)))everything works perfect.only one thing i hurt that if i update it,it may not work as well as it does now.if you know something about this tell me:::))))

Ok, here is another one for you. On the 990 when searching for a wifi connection if you locate one that is locked, or needs a code there seems to be no other way than to go to the connection wizzard and enter it as server. On the H80 it simply pops up a small window and asked you for the code, enter it and bingo you are connected. Not so with the 990.
Also, the screen is so pale that in sunlight you can't see it.
No, I doubt this one is defective, I think it is ill conceived at best, and nor at all user friendly to say the least.

capt dan.. such a whining baby..i havent experienced anything like what you have posted..sounds like you had a faulty unit..you should have done the honest thing which was contact sony. instead what do you do, sell it on ebay so someone else can inherit your problem unit..simply dishonest..

I just spoke to T Mobile UK, they said at present, they have no plans to release the P990 as they already have their succesful MDA series (i.e. HTC PDA PPC phones).
So we are just waiting for O2, Vodafone, Orange and possibly the '3' network.

I used the SE P990i for testing the Blackberry Enterprise function and it all works fine.
For Blackberry Web Client
The only thing to do is run the Blackberry connect software in > Tools > Blackberry and get the BB PIN and IMEI. Use them to create your BWC account. Do not forget to activate the service on your SIM card via your mobile operator (used with Proximus=OK)
For Blackberry Enterprise solution
> Install the Blackberry desktop sofware and your PC Suite on your desktop computer connected to the LAN and mail server
> Reboot your machine
> Connect your SE 990i
> Start your SE desktop software
> Generate an encryption key
Do not forget to activate the service on your SIM card via your mobile operator (used with Proximus Belgium=OK)

this vince is really funny, can't make up his mind huh. if your country supports the dont-know-what-it-called tv standard, maybe you should go for N93
but hey why don't you just buy both! 1 for weekdays work and 1 for weekend entertainment. just kidding:)

guys im sooo torn apart between P990i and N93!!! I need a communicator with wifi and a good digital camera! im hesitating on the n93 coz of the bad noisy pics and the huge size!!! im hesitating on the p990i because of the hard to use software (unlike nokia's user friendly software) and software bugs that im hearing all over the net! Yet i like the p990 becoz of the keyboard+stylus+numeric keypad which is a big convenience, plus the high quality pictures by sony blow nokia away despite lower resolution. and i also like nokia becoz of the VGA 30fps videos and TV-out function which is so great to show off! im sooo torn guys! i have the money but which one to spend on???
