This is how some people here think, " We have more junk and trash posts on the forum, but why did SE release the handset in Iran first?"

Hi, every body i am usually a silent reader and just waiting for the P990i. please be nice to each other it is just a phone after all. regarding the release date there is a lot of conflicting information. for example if you look for m600i (another Symbian from sony ericsson) on sonyericsson's uk site it is still in coming soon how ever it is available for purchase since mid june (see the following link http://www.expansys.com/ and this supplier is also in UK)
similarly the P990 has a release date of August on SE UK website but the same supplier is quoting early july. maybe Amir is not lying and has got a phone but still it will do us no good if it is not availble near you. so wait till it comes to you :) good luck

It's about P990 but it's all SE's fault since they have made everyone go crazy by delaying so much.

I am from iran,tehran and say to all : P990 in Iran dont available...
if amir really buy that must write number of the shop and i call them amd say result but he dont say number so he dont buy p990...
he is only scammer...

hey amir, my name is mike and im half persian. ive been to iran a couple of times. and my dad works for SE in London, and trust me when i say this:
No sony Ericsson P990 are out, if its not out in UK, its not out in Iran. Specially Iran with all the things going on. so maybe thats a P910i you have. but the launch date is Aug. 6th worldwide.

I am sure that they dont have p990 cause in Iran,tehran always getting cellphones from dubai and in dubai not yet available so in Iran not available too....btw 3 days ago I go to alaedin shop center and search all that but dont see just one p990 for sample...
I wait for tel numbers that shop u buy from that!!!

Now officiel, the stores i sweden are getting the first frew on the 21 of juli, more to follow in august.
The pricing varies a lot, from 750$ to 1000$ (www.katshing.se in swedish)

To Amir:
A lot of people of has claimed to have the phone over the last month. Just before we all put pressure on our contacts, can you please verify that it is the P990 and that it is not a test version (for SE beta testers) has bin seen before that some stores has sold them.
And just to prove to all others, that don’t know you or has read all you have ridden in here, whey not send a picture? It takes 20 seconds...

To all SE fans, now Amir amitted that the phone was P910i not P990i. I think his eye got problem ha! ha! ha! (so the phone have not out yet !).

Just thought you would like to know, I went into the Orange shop yesterday (Down Fleet Street London UK) and picked up the July 2006 catalogue, in the "coming soon for August" section, the K800i and the P990i are in the middle section, Orange say that the phone should be ready to buy on the 7th August.
