I want to replace my P800 with the same or slightly better functions, applications, and the touch screen. With a better camera than VGA.
I was willing to accept 1.3mp camera, so the 2mp camera is a bonus. I'll use it for site photos here and there, I don't need high resolution, so I'll set it at 1.3mp anyway (uses less memory). I have good quality digitalstill and digitalvideo cameras.
It plays MP3, WAV, WMA, AMR, AAC.
I don't need 3G...it costs a LOT of Money!

it's limit now hey sony ericsson guys when you will launch this.this is some thing pathetic that no reply from sony ericsson company.same on them,they are playing the prank with the customers.same on them.
Go for nokia,,i am sure that this phone will never launch,,it's just a [prank.

I have never seen such extreme reactions for a phone. guys have been waiting for almost six months now.if this phone comes out and is not upto our expectations, people are still gonna rationalize it with the quality of features this phone offers. other who walked away are in all probabilty going to vouch for the phones they thought were better and will try to champion those brands. this phone is surely gonna be remembered for a long time. hope its worth the wait, don't wanna go sour grapes. not yet.

today I received a mail from sony ericsson call center (holland) which says the p990 was to be expected Q2 2006!!

All I wanna know is if it's worth ALL the wait...!!! I got the MDA Pro (O2 XDA Exec)recently which for business, in terms of the internet and documents seems quite good. It has it's downs (like the size and the running of the software), but it's either keeping the MDA Pro, or waiting for the P990. Can someone please tell me their opinion of these phones...
The P990i, and the present replacement, which I'm not sure if I should keep (MDA Pro)...

SE 990i has fait accompli,like N80.Within a month of release it is full of buggs,one day batt life,horrible video,bricklike appearnce.Same is anticipated of SE 990i as first 1000$ price then always risk of problems,u guys take a deep breath go for imate Jamin typical pda same features at 450$ .Se must forget those haydays now its repute is at stake--------?

Spare yourself the frustration!
I've been here waiting since late November 2005 for this phone.
I called my service provider and ordered another phone...
which is:
smaller
has touch screen
has 2mp camera
has video record
has wi-fi,gprs,edge
has quad band
it's smaller than my current P800.
I can't wait...

Talking to Sony Ericsson UK the Phone is due out in the first week of July.
We shall obviously see if this comes to fruition. Carphonewarehouse are also confirm this date of the first week in July.

Hey guys,
Ive been following this thing since last year, and every time i mailed SE they said may then june then july !!!
And they had a whole section on it on sonyericsson.com
but now its not there any more, nothing appears on their search as well!!
I wonder what that is about?
Maybe SE just released pics of this to get a feel of the market and the "actual" model will be completely different and better !?!
Cause SE is way to big to be delaying products specially when Ppl like Nokia are releasing things rivaling the P990 !
I dunno tell me what u'll think ?
