Been waiting for the SE990i patiently for nearly a year. Cant do without a "jog dial" Ho hum. 910i will have to do for a while longer.

Do you guys really believe that will not be any problem when p990 is released. Comon, wake up your ideas, there will be problems, so does it mean that P990 is also a crap phone!

this set along with n92,n73 and n74 will be available in yhe 1st week of july

5 more phones before P990 arrives in Singapore. 3 are supposed to be out in June and 2 are supposed to be out in July. One phone which will be out after P990 should be out in July. So where does P990 stand?
The boss of Sony did mention in Wall Street Journal that a smart phone which will have push email and which will prove to be a challenge to Blackberry will be out this summer. That's anywhere from June to August.

Its weird. W700i is already released in Singapore but they have not taken the "Coming soon" tag off the phone on Sony Ericsson's website. I am thinking there is a conspiracy within Sony Ericsson to mask the release date of P990i by claiming they have "forgotten" to update their website.

Well, I say "enjoy" to all who decided to quit waitin ' and choose a nokia instead; i prefer rather to have a crap phone which refuse to work after 1 month to wait that the SE guys finish workin' for a real good phone...you're choice, good luck...:-)

Yeh you are right. Now when I look at it, it doesn't electrify my anymore. Anyway, will not need to worry or get angry anymore as I am moving on with NOKIA. Sayonora..

Sony Ericsson P990 Really ROCKED my all desires of the year 2006,
What will be the PRICE of it in INDIAN market ?
I m now in the momement using a Nokia 7710 which is also a TOUCHSCREEN mobile phone with Symbian Based Firmware.

As far as I know, the only official place in which the release dates for different SE handsets are mentioned is SE e-Shop in UK. Based on my own meandering experience, releasing handsets for Europe and Middle East market is simultaneous. Considering this, the P990i should be available this June. I have been watching this “coming soon” page for some months and the release date for this specific handset used to constant: JUNE!
Now it is up to you to believe it or not, but let’s just hope so. Here is SE UK e-Shop:

In the last two months I have asked everyone from my SE distributor to the guys in Marketing here at SE. They have all been giving me dates that are all over the place and none of them are willing to commit to their own dates. Anyways the general impression here is that the phone should be here by july end or early august.

I don't want to "flame" anyone, but WeElectronics is not reputable. I have NEVER successfully ordered a phone from them-either on the internet or over the phone, they will take all your information (credit card, billing, shipping) but there is always a "problem" or "delay" - the reason is, they don't have the latest phones in stock- they are a classic case of a company wanting to get you to pre-order (although they don't list the items as not being available)- its not illegal what they do, but it's poor business practice. Sorry for the rambling email, but i wouldn't trust a release date from WeElectronics.

The phone is expected on or about the 14th August 2006. Please note that this is not an exact date. This should be a lot of joy for all P series fans

Serious speaking SE is not customer focus. today release is already a problem, imagine what happens when it comes to support i bet many people will be queuing and still wait for something like few mths to feedback!

i didn't check all 72 pages about this topic so maybe this has allready been discussed but can somebody tell me something about voip? skype for instance is not compatible with symbian..
