this is going to be a great phone.. one thing i like about sony ericsson, is that they make the theme creator app for people on OS X, while nokia have a windows only version... never had any problems with any of my Sony's, while my Nokias, have always had to had software upgrades..
can't wait for this phone....

I can confirm what Ben said about the release schedule in Europe. No exact day known, but expect it to be available in July. The part regarding the UK is unknown to me, but could be true.

May 06 doesn't mean 6th of May, but May 2006! But still potential good news. The phone will rock and I bet everyone claiming it is going to be outdated by the time they release it, will buy it! hehehe

i work for the biggest mobile phone retailer in Europe and it will be released in the 1st week in June...SE will launch it in Britain first and it will roll out to the rest of Europe by mid-july

Guess what every1 I know a few reason why this ph is not out yet. I also know when it definately will be out cross my heart and hope to die.
Well i asked a ph sales person and he said SE have to make the best vibrator for the phone so girls and gay's like it. I asked my girl and she said SE are trying to bond and soon as they finished bondage it will cum out. then when i went to ask my grandma she died waiting for it at age 102 but in her own last words she said ...i die a happy person nown that i know its soon to be released by year 2022. hehe lol

Heyy u guyss out there!!! Just sit, relaxs and b patience. Dont bother about other people say about SE late delivery, i know SE dont this for nothing...its all for our good sake my bro! For myself, after selling P900..im still using P910 since the very first day it launch till now.. the truth is, Nokia is Nokia...veryyy typical Nokia... SE is definetly total diffent from others...cant imagine myself without my P910! Hey guyss...just be patience...for SE people...make it fast, and please be reasonable with the pricewise...we r yr bigggg supporter..so please consider! GO SE!!!

I just checked carphonewarehouse page (UK dealer) for this phone and they claim it should be available on 6th May. Can anyone confirm this (not being in UK right now so I can't check that obviously).

Yes we have all waited this long and I am getting imaptient... this phone stands out amongst the rest and the only thing is that it needs "edge" and more standby and talk time as compared to its predecessor the P910i. Also a 3 mega pix camera is needed like the N93. This phone will get obsolete by the time it gets here that's the only sad thing about it. :(

If it doesn’t come out soon I will forced to buy an alternative phone, and I know I will regret it later on, but I need a phone quickly as my 910 got too tired and is about to close its screen for ever.

wow, you guys are really debating on SE 990i and N91 huh. well. for me, and i believe for so many of us, SE990 is the best. the only concern is that it has been too long since the day it has been introduced. anyway. already waited for 6 months, why not 2 more.however, n91 is really something. but i dont believe in microdrive. it can crash anytime.

Total rubbish by the time this phone comes out its miles outdated compared to models out now. It needs to come with 3meg camera to redeem itself.

P990 is the best!!!
All N series phones could have all posible tech, but P990 have the maximum possible tech and software, N and E series always loose to Sony Ericsson P series because:
Symbian UiQ!!
This OS is the best for a phone, the mediocre nokia symbian Series 60 are simply inferior to UiQ.
Touchscreen, HW recognition, personalization, reliability, stability, etc are the main features of UiQ.
P990 has UiQ and WiFi, 320*240 30fps video recording (Nvidia GoForce), RIM Blackberry, atlexia, etc 2MP camera w/autofocus, UMTS, videocall, bluetooth 2.0, 2.76 QVGA touchscreen and the total advantage of touchscreen and UiQ.
SE no need to produce Pseries phones in mass like nokia, nokia makes a thousands of S60 smartphones, but all are buggy, bulky and incomplete firmware/software.
SE in change develop their OS with detail and providing the user satisfaction in all aspects, like all P series predecessors.
P800, P900 and P910 are the best phones in the market and P990 are the best of all time.
These are the facts that P990 beat all N, E S60 smartphones, N80 is a slow and buggy brick comparing with P990, loose in all aspects.
SE rocks!!!!
