Ive seen this mobile and all I can say is that you have to see it to believe it. It is a vast improvement of the other pxxx series phones. You wont get a phone which does so much. Slight delay....wait and be amazed!!

it looks quite executive but the buttons look very small on it can you text effectively on it without much hassle does anyone know? i am assuming it is quite heavy

Does this thickness of 26mm include the removable keypad? It will be terribly thick if it doesnt! Nice features though!

DO NOT BUY FROM TRADO!! Trado-limited is a scam. All the logos of sites that they are supposedly a part of are simply gifs loaded onto their server (right click icon--> properties). Usually when you click on those logos, it should bring you to the website shown on the logo; that doesn't happen. If you go to those sites yourself and look for Trado, you won't find it. And their online support is inconsistent. Of the several attempts that I have tried to chat with a rep, I've only succeeded twice. And their answers to my questions were really vague. When I confronted them, I got disconnected. At the end of the chat, I was given the option to send a copy to the chat to an email, I did but, yet never received and email. I also used the " Contact" function to send them several emails, but never got responses. Furthermore, the payment site is not secure (no lock on IE and site URL didn't start with https://)!!
In conclusion, DO NOT BUY FROM TRADO.

This Grieva really talks sense. I think this opinion thread would benefit a lot if more people are like Grieva or, thosw who are not, go to the beach for a while.

Does anyonw know if this will support Sat Nav software such as Tom Tom or Co Pilot ?
I know the Motorola A780 does but dont know of any other phones that do. If this does i may ust wait!

Why does'nt everyone stop bitching about SE. so the phone has been advertised for a while. i will patientley wait for the phone because i respect the fact they want to get it right. you same people who are crying over waiting will be the same people who winge when the phone goeswrong because its released early. Nokia N70 was rushed and that has floped with software problems.I bought an spv(i-mate basically) and i have now gone back to my p900 because its quality. stop waisting time by crying over a phone.I dont think SE are going to worry about a handful of people leaving them, You will be the one who losses out by buying an inferior product.

ahhh...SE always delayed the release of their products...that's why others would just bought different brands..too bad..pls don't exceed in the release date of your products..

Sony Ericsson clearly said that P990 won't be available before april 2006. But there's some serious sellers that are offering it for shipping now at ebay, http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5878861784&ssPageName=ADME:B:WNA:US:12 . How could that be possible?

Gooshies! what's taking this phone sooo long? SE's "delaying tactics" is really irritating and frustrating... i'm now considering switching to nokia's N90 or the upcoming N80... I hope SE is reading this... Wake up for gooshies sake...

Hi people ,,,and if anyone from SE reads this!!
This phone was announced i guess way back in november or in december...since then i am waiting...but i guess it would not be coming..or when it comes it would be too late for them...
I am thinking of other options like-Nokia n 80 and 92 and O2's...most probably will wait till 1st week of april(coz its a good phone and no other phone has all the option as this one)

I hope that sonyericsson uses this set up for the camera 3.2 MP, 2048x1536 pixels, autofocus, video(QCIF), xenon flash; secondary video call VGA camera since it's has got it all!!why not have the best camera set up also!!!

Well... I have been waiting for this phone to go on sale for quite some time now... I think SE should keep up their promise as now is Q1 of 2006 already. I am starting to look at Nokia phones now although I like 990 very much. Maybe N92 from Nokia is a challenger to 990... Hmm... which ever available in the market first, I will buy it..
I hope SE is reading all the posts here...

hi! i read somewhere e video is only supported by mp4.3gp format. e effect is not as good as pure mp4 but overall is still nice 2 watch.

Hi i was the Nokia lover but when i saw P910 for the very first time in market i was so amazed about the technology they use. In october when i read about the p990 i was so happy i sold my Nokia 6680 in order to get this phone. I waited for this phone since then. But i cant take it anymore. Sony Ericsson has been playing with the world. Its just hoax. anyway i have decided to go back to Nokia and now i am waiting for Nokia N80 which seems to be better than P990. cURSE you Sony Ericsson. You are nothing but miserable liars.
