I'm no fancy fan of se but i'm hot in supporting p990i! It's definitly gonna be e fone i 1 as a very very very smart pda fone!!!!!!!!!!! It's indeed an intelligent fone w most of e most wanted features covered! It shall absolutely be worth waiting!!!!!!!!!!!

I read all the comments. Whats the fuss about the release date? How would you feel if you bought one today and they tell you later to bring it to a SE dealer to repair or undo a mistake. I am a sonyericsson fan myself and its hard waiting for the P990 any further, but since I know SE, I can guess it to be in the best of my interest. So I'll wait , unless I find something better(which I doubt).I am certain it would be worth it.

as far as I can make out yes mp3s can be used they could also be used on p910

why there is no edge service in this phone
and is the speakers good enough rather than p800 / p900

At least the delay is justified now with better improvement on the phone such as ms activesync support, business card scanner and better video recording with 30fps in 320x240.

Hello everyone, I just want to add my 2 cents. I have many new mobile phones and I usually get the latest and the greatest. Let me give you 2 examples. example 1 I remember when I was waiting for the K750 and SE delayed that phone many times and I though it was never coming out and when it did it was a good phone and then with its first firmware update it was the best everything worked well and I think I read some where its the best phone next is the V3 which is crap IMO. Example 2 now I am ready for an upgrade since then and been waiting for a good pda phone with all the capabilities of K750 such as 2 meg camera. and I bought the 02 Atom which got delayed by 2 weeks I think and this was the biggest mistake of my life. Although the 02 Atom looks good on paper but nothing works well and the 2 meg camera is more like .2 and very poor quality. And everyone I know and read the forums hate the 02 Atom. they have released a firmware upgrade but then again they have to act quick as many new pda are coming out and 02 Atom is going to loose the market share as there is many dissatisfied customers. So the moral of the story is wait to read customer reviews on forums before getting hurt and burnt hole in your pocket. but coming from SE I am sure its going to be another quality phone and you will be 100% happy ask your self the question would you want something working 50% or working 100% and quality second to none. SE stuff is made from good quality materials not like plastic stuff like the $1190 Atom and the battery cover slips of easily. Be patient people its coming and it will be the best pda phone until the next one made by SE. SE reputation is riding on this phone as it sets the current bench mark on all the phones. best thing about SE is it gives you good features that consumers would need like Business Card Scanner. no one I know has this, so give them a break and don't forget N91 by nokia has not been released either because it’s going to cost them if it does not work as it should and both nokia and SE are on the new symbian version 9. So let the games begin.

well this is a work that i hate b'coz sonny delay p990 to my country indonesia i've been waiting and waiting but this p990 is not yet launching so thing about that sonny or your product will be lost with compete on market and for those people who's already waiting sonny will gave all of you half price including me thx you.

Oh cmon guys, lets be realistic, every day passes we know that this product is getting better, I mean id rather wait all this time and eventually get a phone that I know it wont let me down for at least one year or more.
So chill out and enjoy the new futures such as 8GB card & BC Scan ….etc

oh gosh too bad.. i knew this was gonna happenn... yes, its unfortunately true that SE will release P990 by 2Q!!! aaaahhh!! i cant believe this! all the expectations and high hopes! i cant wait for this phone! i might be tempted to buy other phones but im still havin high hopes for this phone! thanks to the guy that posted the press release link of P990 that confirmed the release date. too bad its gona be in 2Q....

Too bad for Sony - they're late. I'm going for Palm Treo 650.
