It has an ARM9 processor at 208 Mhz and will have a graphic chipset for an excellent quality screen resolution

I am wondering if this Windows Based P990 will be as good as the previous P series. I have all of the P series, P800, P900 and P910i. And i realized that the design of the phone is getting better and bigger too. And also the processing speed seems to be decreasing. I have been waiting for so long to get my hands on the P990. This P990 looks good, and the keypad is back to the P900 kinda feel. Not like the P910, bigger buttons, but not good to press. So many functions packed in 1 small phone.

I hope I am wrong in seeing the screen of the 990 reduced to a small area. If this is so I am sure I will not buy one. I own a p800/p900 and know they are a great phone ...but such a small screen really takes away the attraction for me ...sorry SE I am off to an I-mate I think

dudes its a phone thats all get a cheap phone that makes calls thats all at the end of the day theres sooooo many phones out in this todays world i can buy a cheap laptop for the price this phone will be at LOL!

Well I think all should stay calm and wait for the news from the 3gsm congress which going to held on 13th till 16th feb. Most likely we will see official press regarding the p990i and other upcoming models

I know the feeling I've been so tempted by different phones but can't make up my mind about the whole phone to get but I think i'm going to keep waiting though as this is virtually the perfect phone apart from the memory which comes with it!!

OK guys i waited for this phone for a long long time but no response from SE. I bought Imate right now. So please stop waiting for this phone and look for any other model.

hate to say this I can't see the market for the phone you propose as people who buy these sorts of phones are usually business men who will have the facilities to use the net at home and work one a computer that would be better suited thus making the screen pointless unless you wanted to use it for travel at which point you might as well have a phone with a large screen!!! also the hardware to run the phone succesfully would have to go in the screen as unless you wanted the most basic handset it wouldn't fit in the small phone

There should be a phone like w800i with DETACHABLE additional large screen (SAY 4 to 6 inches wide)with its own battery for additional pda features and multimedia.so that the phone offers both lightweight portability and full vga internet browsing and multimedia entertainment.hope some handset manufacturer takes note of this.

sorry for you guys who wasn't able to buy this phone from welectronics.com. i was one of the lucky guys who were able to buy the sony ericsson p990 from them. the phone is alright, although larger than the p910. the features are quite alright too. i'm starting to love this phone, though i haven't tested much applications yet. will let you know. =)

i have this suggetion for sony ericsson.,they should try and add features like...,intergrated video player down load and play back or for streaming 3gpp,h263 video mpeg4 and amr. add music and video to ur caller id . for p990
