I don’t know why, but I think all of this happened from the ambiguous that Sony Ericsson put us in with the release date of p990, so I except that all of this is nothing...and the p990 still set in the Q1 of 2006 without any change.
And for prove imagine why Sony give this information to a list of people how contact it by e-mail or by phone, while it could put this information in there site for public so they could help them self from answering the same Q for every one ask for..., And why Sony is trying to hidden this information form public except some list who contact them, maybe they (The people who defense about this information or who want us to believe that they contact Sony) are just copying it form other site or layers.
So let is be realistic and believe that if Sony don’t put this in it is own site, every of this could be no more than a big lay.

That's the reply from SE center via email for me. I will try to get the confirmation from the SE via phone but still feeling s**t about the deplay

sim free is when you buy the mobile phone without a contract so you don't get a sim card with it hence "sim free" hope that clears it up otherwise its the same phone apart from a few software changes usually simfree is the better way togo if not more expensive!!!

what mean of sim free mobile??
Is it mean that we can use any sim card from any country(UK,Italy...), And it all will work correctly?
And what different between sim free mobile and handset mobile?
Which is better to use in uk or outside without haveing any problems??

The phone will be released at the beginning of april...and the price is unknown. belive it or not

Ive have just contacted SE by phone in the UK time 13.10 gmt and P990 is still on schedule for a sim free release in March If you are waiting for this handset to come out on a network the date will be April/May/June i ive had this confirmed at Managerial Level at Sony Ericsson UK.

I have contact UK SE and they say the P990 will come out at Q2 2006 D**m it that's too late

The information i posted this morning was given via a phone call to Sony Ericsson UK and was confirmed by 2 departments July IS NOT THE DATE this is incorrect March is the release date.
Will be available first as a SIM FREE OPTION which can be attached to a contract.

In first I say is set to March but it seems the P990 got delay and release to july!!
I dont know SE what is thinking but the 10 month delay for P990 is very bad

Hi
Everybody i wish to clear up this mess of these very nasty statements that have been fly around in reference to to the P990i release date.
As of 09.00 gmt this morninng 03.02.2006 Sony Ericsson have confirmed with absolute clarity that this device is set to come out in March there are no delays and OS is progressing well..there are many SE haters and would love to shift sales to other Manufacturers i will not name them for legal reasons.
But be assured this is 100% correct and anything else is false and totally unfounded from Sony Ericsson both SE Eshop confirm this date.

It seems that P990i has got delay again and not available before july!!
What r u doing in SE team?? I think we must buy that for end of 2006!! yes??

I think this just chatting, I mean if Sony really change the release date for p990 why they don’t change any of there website or Symbian site from Q1 to Q2(I thing they are not stupid to let it as it),Or why no mobile news Website put this as an official news, and it was only just putted in the forums, So lets is just not to be fast with our judges and wait until they official prove it by Sony ericsson it self not Sony ericsson market in any country...,then we start say (nooooooo,why??,...) ok guys . :)

I can't wait for this thing to come out into the US market. Does anyone know when P990 will start shipping? I need a new phone and I am in need of a smart phone, and I believe this is going to be it. Thanks in advance for all the replies.
