The screen is a bit smaller but just enough for this GREAT phone. For those who want bigger screen, better get your eyes checked. This is so far, the best phone with the best size. Packed with almost everything you need. I've had a Nokia before but frankly, i'm not satisfied with it. I'm a gadget freak and i know what i want. It's a great upgrade for my P910. But hell, who said i'm gonna sell my P910?! It's a great collection. I'm not saying you should buy this phone.. Determine what you want. 'Coz maybe you don't need a complicated phone after all.

this way cool bro , all i want on cell is in here the data speed is ok 384 kbps (UTMS) you can use it as modem and it is ok
the screen is a little bit small but it is ok

p910 display is 320*208
p990 display is 240*320
so whats the difference????????
but u can see that p910 has a larger screen area

For people who's having dilemma of what phone to buy. W900, P990 or Treo 670 etc.
Please Remember a few points guys.
1. It is hard to keep up with the technology trend. It is reality that the phone you buy today will become "obsolete" in a short time.
2. Think long term use.
3. Be Picky, Be very very very Picky when choosing a phone. If you still cannot decide what phone to buy, let's say w900 or p990, then don't buy it until you are so damn sure.
4. Avoid Buyer's Remorse. IMPORTANT point! If after thinking and thinking and thinking you still can't decide which phone you like better, I suggest that you don't buy at all.
I know that it is still early to consider buying these upcoming phones. But I hope these few tips could ease the dilemma of some of you guys. For credibility purposes, I have used P800,910, Treo650, Nokia 6680, S700, HP Ipaq 6515 and currently using w800. I know, I am a handphone freak!

I understand your excitement in choosing whether you should buy w900 or p990. Dang! SE keeps bombarding us with cool phones. Could you say Dilemma???. But anyways, the answer to your question is simple. Ask yourself, what is utmost important to you for having the handphone. are u looking for functionality features? cool looking phones? Fashion? You want to get people attentions? Be honest with yourself. Lemme clarify the few distinct differences though. P990, is usually a multifunction phone that also acts as your daily organizers. While the W900 is a Walkman phone, smaller and cool shiny looking phone (reminds me of iPod Nano hehee.) P990 has touch screen, W900 doesnt. P990 has WLAN, w900 doesnt. For me, I would go for P990. Its obviously a better phones in terms of Functionality. Hey, lemme tell u something. I am currently using W800. It is cool at first, the sharp 256k color display, auto-focusing 2MP camera. But guess what, my enthuasiasm for the phone quickly wears off after first month of using it. Lemme clarify that I love the w800. But, still, you know... we constantly want better, nicer, cooler things. So, my advice is you wait until the beginning of next, then you can decide abt which phone u want. As you know, you can change your decision in an instant. One day, you could ponder about how cool the w900 is... you keep looking at it, then you also want to make sure whether p990 is a good phones. After checking the features in p990, you fell in love with it... god... stop it. Ask your self, Do you want a phone that Turn Heads? or do you want a phone full of features? It's your choice. Don't be too hasty in your choice. Be wise. For me, I'll choose P990 though. God, who's the head director of Design in SE?

Very interested point of views.
As on P910 you need to flip keyboard to see the full screen. This phone is SUPER. Can waite to buy it.

Hi.4 de first time SE has given such a cool camera and radio in its one of de most expensive sets.i m happy dat almost all p910 lackings r removed in dis stuff .

Hi there....the new Sony Ericsson P990 it`s great ...i am unable to make up me main between buying ( P990i or W900i) ? can any one help me to decide which one to pick ?

Why oh why did it have to have such a small, low resolution screen!! Nokia E-Series id 16M, Panasonic, LG etc. Please can you also consider making the internal memory larger as it is quite low for a regular internet user. The key pad was fine on the back of the flip, why did you decide to put it on to the main unit.
