Great phone. It has everything i needed. But it's too slow in starting new SMS for no reason! I can't understand why can't it just open the SMS directly. It seems that it refreshes the screen several times at first then it visits all messages and draft then refreshes the screen again before it finaly open a new SMS. Total duration = 6 seconds which is IRRITATING for just a simple function!

It's a VERY slow phone. but i absolutely love the features. I just wish there's a way to make it faster... Seeing the results, I think it's not just me, but it's quite slow for everyone too. Sigh.

if you use 4g b on it and load some games and apps, will it hang? if you use the 4gB original mem stick? ;)

well an ultimate and perfect cellphone or smartphone is very very possible to manufacture if and only if the manufacturer (sonyericson or nokia) will make a thorough research and read all cellphone forum or make interviews and comfile all the informations to come up with the super cellphone that possess all the features and design the people of the world would like to have....

Pliz advice..can somebody pliz tell me how to change time on message cos mine is behind by two hours..everytime i recieve sms, it show that it was send 2hrs ago..Pliz help

hye everyone ,
i have been using P990i for about 6 months . i just want to say that the speed is damn slow . takes time even to open message and some of the application . overall of the phone use , my rating is 6/10 .

Maybe important info:The Sony Ericsson P990i comes with ARM9-based processor clocked at 208 MHz, which means clock speed increase of 52 MHz or 25% compared to the P910i (156 MHz). Video and graphics performance is further increased by P990's hardware acceleration. There is also some speed boost resulting from using NAND-Flash rather than XIP-flash memory for ROM-based applications but it also has some disadvantages, like negative impact on the size of free operating memory.

its the best phone, it has everything you need. but kinda slow..opening sms can take a while, and some features.i been using it for almost a year, so far so good...i am having a hard time thinking if i will swap it for motorola v9 or ill just keep it and buy new phone.

thanks for ur feedback...
The reason i preferred p990 over p1 is becoz of the p1 1/2 qwerty keyboard... n it looks more like a touchscreen calculator despite its capabilities...
looks like im gonna wait for g900 then, but lack of qwerty keyboard is really a big mistake for a smartfone... well, no phone is perfect... just gonna live with it then :D

To Char In P990i And From P1i
There is no much differnce in P990i and in P1i expect of Ram Memory i was Tense because of its Ram Memory i cant Run FM Ya Mp3 as i was Using Net that was the main problem as i have moved to P1i now i m happy with My P1i
In new incoming Phones i like G900 thats little bid impressive but they didnt Mention about its Uiq Serial as the P1i is V 9.1 Uiq is 3.0 thats not Mentioned
i cant think about any other Phone Love's P1i

wats the difference of p990 from p1 aside from ram/rom n 3.2 mpx camera?
does p1 have the same stability issues like the p990?

and i say that its excellent and all of its function and features are very good please answer my question thanks and its my advice dont buy n73 or n73 music addition they r just useless just go for this p990 its the best mashallah

perhaps P990i is the most sexiest phone i ve ever used.
well, i ve terrafic mood swings n this phone gives me a tch screen look and also a norm keypad look.
battry life is awesum, sound good, net speed good, display wonderful..
so thr u go..
wat else do u wanna know..
