This is a truly great phone!!!
I've had this phone for almost a month now and so far I've dropped it twice, once with the slide closed and once opened, but there's nothing wrong with it..maybe it's too early to find problems with it but I don't think I'll ever have problems with this phone. It also has great battery power, it lasts for days!

This is awesome phone. I LOVE IT VERY MUCH. I changed keys twice but I still love it.

Had this phone since december 2007, recently i dropped it and a line appeared on the screen.. after 2-3 days another and another appeared, in total 3. Two weeks from me it was token, after i got it back the keys started cracking( nr 2 and # ) but im not going to take it to service again for 2 weeks or more.. :(.
I got the phone for the greate music player and slip design and im not dissapointed :)

I had the s500 over a year...2 weeks after I bought it the keys all cracked up...literally split in half...overall it was a good phone, but, after a year I am not able to receive messages and if i receive calls no one can hear me at all...not sure why...am looking for a new phone now...can anyone tell me if the g705 is better than the w980 or none at all...

I had that S500 for B'day Gift and I enjoyed using alot.The only thing with this phone is the keypad cracks easily eventhough I am not the sms person sort more on calls.I sent it to Sony centre for repairs and their customer service sucks when they promise they willinform you whether you can send in for repair if the parts available or not.Duhh!!!Love the video and music functions alot and good clarity compared to my now Nokia E66 is a nuisance and music player is distorted like broken speaker. Nothing still beats SE phones.I dont mind and would buy it for 2nd back-up phone to use if prices fell like RM500 for the matter due to no wifi, infrared and gprs.Unfortunately heard they already discontinue this model probably due to the fact of complaints of warranty repairs within 1yr and they have difficulties finding replacement parts for it unless you go for imitation parts from china which is huge difference and no longer have the smooth slide feelings.

Last August I posted a comment on how good the S500i is, and that the keys had never cracked. About a week after that, guess what ! They started cracking but even after all this time they`re still doing the job. I`ve just been back to Carphone with it and they`ve replaced them, under warranty (2 years) while I waited. It`s now like a new phone and is still one of the best I`ve ever had. The battery life is excellent
and it`s simple to use. Let`s hope something else doesn`t go wrong now !

sooooo bad.. been in for repair twice.. first time was within 3 weeks of having it... yeah, fair enough it looks good and the features are good for the price but the overall, a very poor design from sony ericsson.. if you are buying this phone, its more than likely you will have issues with it! i was very annoyed because it is a good phone! just falls to peicessss! bad times..

Had a C905 which was stolen. Bought S500i and am very happy so far. Doesn't have as many options etc but it's s great phone for not too much money!

i love this phone it's soooo cool it has great features i'v had mine 4 like a year now with no problemss oh and the design is WICKED!!!!!

This phone is good, until it breaks which is likely. Keys break very easily. The headphone jack broke for me as well. I sent it away to get repaired and when I got it back there were more problems with it. The screen wasn't working and the headphone jack still wasn't working. It's on its 3rd repair now in a row, it was never fixed. I have'nt had my phone for over 4 months now because it's always on repair. I wouldn't recommend this phone to anyone.

i had the phone for a year. i had no problems with it, just the buttons cracked. but sony offered to replace it. i didn't get the chance to do it, as i dropped it on the beach, in the sand/water. i am gonna purchase it again, or something very similar, because the features are very good. i like the design. the price is very good for what you get, in comparison with other companies for the same features. don't expect to work though as a $400 phone from sony.

this phone is rubbbish......after using it for like a month,it had volume problem..as if that wasnt enough,it stopped charging...then started breaking into pieces....i so loved the phone be'cos it looked feminine and beautiful...

I really liked this phone but some days ago somebody stole it!It is very comfortable and small!But i also had problems with buttons it worked properly and i had no problems with it

i only had this phone a year and it has broken in several places.. its such a shame because i really liked the look and colour i wish i still had it now!!

I love this phone.
But it breaks rlly fast!
i lost one button all ready and ist a half year old!.
So dont buy it i say
