i want to buy this phone but the only thing stopping me is the keypad problem is it THAT critic? cant it be fixed? is the newly shipped phones defective too? is this problem common in all countries? pleas answer me as fast as possible because im replacing my W800i in a few weeks and im really confused whether to get this one or Nokia 5300 or Nokia 6267 (although im really insisting on getting sony ericsson as i loved the software being used in the w800i)

i am very very satisfird with this phone...really cool design,sleek and sophisticated. no problems encounterd. only down fall is that is has no flash and not 3G but over all its a great phone.

has any1 watched the video 4 this fone....i dont seem to have that much trouble taking of the back.....so funny...its a bloody beauty mate : )

I am experiencing a frequent problem with my S 500i. If i open/close the phone rapidly, the memory card pops up out of the slot. its lock is very weak.

Sony shoudl slash the price of this phone by 90% regarding the design flaw of the keypad. It's about u$250 here in Jakarta, Indonesia,I think it shoudl be more like U$100 because there's virtually no spareparts for this phone.Come on Sony,bite the bullet and give the defective phones away.

I can't get it to transfer files from computer to phone. It acknowledges my USB connection but when I open the Disc2Phone program and try to transfer a file, it says I need to connect the USB. Does anyone else have this problem?

email Sony Ericsson. If you ngo back tob your provider and say that its a physical damage there lying. Son ericsson covers the keypad but the only problem is that they might replace it with the silver one from the spring yellow version.

What about sound quality, is it louder that Samsung d600 or SE k700 or SE V600i? And does it support mp3 ringtones?
