Awesome! I think this phone is great. superb lighting and screen illuminations. Sound quality pretty good too. only thing missing really is the flash that should come with the 2 mega pixels apart from that this phone is great.!

I also ask if this phone has t9. I have always texted with that and it would be hard to do it any other way. So does anyone know?

The screen is 240x320, different with K750i.
Anyway.. I must add here. Even tho it's not 16M screen, excluding the color shading (262k vs 16M), the screen is definitely the best so far in the market.

SUPERB SCREEN! really bright.. brighter than Samsung U600. WOW. really vibrant colors. perfect screen illumination. perfect brightness. perfect contrast. perfect color balance.
so far.. DEFINITELY the best display from SE. the best display i've ever seen (despite the fact it's not 16M colors).

I also used Plantronics Voyager 510 bluetooth and also has the Jawbone bluetooth and both paired up with this phone just fine.

Have been using the yellow one for a couple day, very stylish. Yes you can turn the light on the side off, and there's a variety of light effect to choose from. Screen is beautiful, even though it's the same resolution as my old k750, but the color is richer and looks very pleasing. The battery cover is VERY HARD to remove, and a screen protector is a must, or else you risk scratching it while trying to remove the battery cover. It doesn't have features like flashlight or autozoom, and the OS feels a little sluggish. The themes are pretty nice, although you only get 3 of them.
The real complaint I have is the battery cover, and I can't get it to pair up with my Plantronics Voyager 510 bluettoh headset. I had no problem pairing it with my K750, but the S500 can't even detect it. I'm hoping a firmware update of some sort can fix it. And I'm sure it's not the bluetooth problem on the phone b/c i could send ringtones from my k750 to the S500.

i really love this phone, however, i hear the the keypad cracks, i live in a very remote place in africa so returning it will be exteremely difficult.. i want this phoe but yet again i'm not sure if it will last long.. i will be getting mine from pakistan for a good price too!! what would you suggest? should i buy it or not???

se_fans: take out the battery and look into the back label with bunch of numbers. You should found it somewhere said W27 or W28 or WXX which that XX stands for what week it produced.

I'm still wondering if i should get this phone or not since I've been reading all these complaints of cracking keypads. i want to know if the s500's are only defective before week 28 or does no one really know if they're still defective after week 28?

underneath where the battery should go is where there's a few characters of text that should look like 07W27 or 07WXX, the numbers in place of the XX is the week number
