hey airwolf, my s700 recording time depends on the memory stick, if you have a 1000000 gb capacity, youll probably can record up to 100000000000000 minutes

with a full-featured phone like this, who need symbian-shit???

if some1 need ms office etc jas buy p series...only morons who need office and buy s-series lol

            The bad:
1.) Only 2 mins video recording time
2.) No files viewer software for MS Office and PDF.

By far the best camera phone around. Anyone who doesn't like it needs their head testing. It has a great screen and to be honest it's everything you want a phone to be. A bit big though, but I suppose the large screen makes up for it.

Have recently purchased S700i on Vodafone, really like handset but am totally cheesed off that Vodafone have seen fit not to allow MP3 to be used as ringtone for "copyright reasons" unless you have downloaded music direct, rather than bluetoothing it from a friend, for example. I can understand where they're coming from in some ways, as they are possibly leaving themeselves open to some major copyright issues if they don't do this, but to have such a fab phone and be unable to use it effectively is sooooo frustrating. My husband has K700i (unlocked) and can use all the groovy tones I've bluetoothed over to him as ringtones but I cant't. Buy it unlocked or on another network is my suggestion!!

On mine, when I put a memory card in the phone it creats a folder call MP3. Then I put it in my computer and the folder appears. I then open it the MP3 folder and creat another folder (call it what ever you like). Then I copy my MP3's to that folder and they appear on the phone.

As for the Java question, I am unsure about the size of the program it can run. But i would assume it would be ok with most programs as I haven't heard otherwise.

                              hi guys
is there any limitation to the maximum size of Java programs that can be installed and run on the s700 and k700?
i'm considering these 2 phones along with nokia 6230...any suggestions?

Really. I have looked for bigger cards but had no luck. I put some files on the Sony Memory stick via card reader I got with it and they appeared in a folder called 'untitled' in 'file manager'.

I just gotta play with the 128 Scandisc card I think and somehow find that folder named 'untitled'

Khalid, you shouldn't have to use PC suite. I use a memory card slot on my PC to transfer my MP3's because it a lot faster and I haven't had any problems. You may have a faulty phone or memory card reader.

As for the 128 MB cards. Yes its true that you are only supposed to take 128Mb cards BUT I have a friend who bought a non Sony (Aftermarket) 256mb card and it works. He said you can also get 512Mb and even 1gig cards. But they have to be non-genuine ones. Sony only make up to 128Mb

                                  Hope that helps

Got my S700 yesterday and wondering if anyone can help me. I hae put some MP3's and Videos on a 128 Memory stick duo via a PC and card reader. However when I put the stick in my phone I cant see the videos or MP3's. I have looked in file manager and it says my memory card only has 6mb left so the files are their but I cant find them on the phone. However when I transfer a MP3 via bluetooth from another phone onto the stick it appears in the file manager and media player no problems.

Do I need to use the PS Suite dick or what? Please help.
