Brad, the adaptor that comes with the S710 isn't a PRO duo adaptor. Mine says "Memory Stick Duo Adaptor" not PRO duo adaptor. Check yours again. Even if it did say PRO duo adaptor, it doesn't work with duo slots, it only works with PRO duo slots. At least that's what I've read about it.

dose this phone accept additonal memory stick or it has in-built memory which can not be changed.

if i have service with alltell and purchase this phone can i get service activated through alltell instead of cingular?

So, if I understood all below comments correctly: the bottom line is SONY ERICSSON S710A will only work with upto 128MB memory stick duo and it won't take 1GB memory Stick PRO? Am I right? I really want to expand memory of my phone ASAP! Thanks for you input in advance!

I bought the 128mb memory stick... but i can not figure out how to format the stick so that my sony ericsson s710a will read it so i will be able to play mp3's on it... any help???

I dont know about the US or other country's, but I just bought mine about 2 weeks ago, and it came with a 32MB duo card and also a duo pro adaptor, which plugs into the slot, and then you can put duo pro cards in.

Damn it, you guys are confusing me. :P I don't get it, some of you are saying that this phone only accepts up to 128mb Memory Stick Duo, but some guy said something about a PRO Duo adapter... What is that? I don't think there is such a thing... I'm pretty sure 128mb is the max, but if it isn't, I'll probably get this phone. :)

OH MY GOD! how many times does the question need to be addressed! THE PHONE ONLY TAKE DUO, NOT DUO PRO. WHICH MEANS you can only have a 128MB, MAX, not 256 not 512, 128MAX, do you understand?? The max the s710a holds is a duo 128mb card, unless you have the duo pro adaptor. Once again, the phone only take 128MB Duo cards, Max!

probably u have to get a sony 512 or higher memory stick for it to work on the phone im not sure if it works but you can go to the stores and ask them if you can try it out on your fone to see if your phone reads it

i got this phone 2 days ago and i got pc card reader to upload files into it. i didnt have trouble getting mp3 files into it but im having trouble getting video files onto it. everytime i put video files into it, my phone doesnt accept it as a video file.. like it wont play it. i tried changing the files to .3gp .mpeg and they still didnt work. can someone plz tell me how to upload video files onto my phone that actually WORK?

yes, it only uses the duo (not pro) memory stick. and no, the display doesn't scratch easily. the only thing i ran into was that games can only be installed via ir or bluetooth.

well i love my phone i just got a 512mb and its not working with my phone every time i try to save something it says memory card something. hit me up if you know whats up.

Can someone post links of where to buy a 256 MB or 512 MB or 1 GB Memory Stick Duo? I've never seen any over 128 MB for sale, and everyone keeps saying they exist. Can someone put the links to any Duo card above 128 MB on here? Thanks!

all the memory sticks that are over 128 say pro
so how does 512 work for this phone?
