Viju, 25 Nov 2009lol...so u r trying to say that for example a normal 32 inc... moreI never compared a none hd vs hd tv!! HD tvs dont have neither 21" nor 29" sizes...
And sure i know better res on a display makes it sharper and more eye candy...
i compared a 21" sd CRT tube tv vs 29" sd tube tv as an example, right??...ok, do u believe a 32" full HD TV which has 2mpxl panel on it is sharper, brighter and has more resolution than a exactly the same 42" one??
size doesnt matter here, the resolution has nothing to do with the sharpness, as well as the brightness.

just putting this here for you yourself cause i believe many people here know the two displays' pros and cons...
TFT(thin film transistor) LCD(liquid crystal display) panels act as a filter, each pixels changes its color to draw an image on them but u wont see the picture unless theres a backlight under it. the backlight is made by some white LEDs under the panel on mobile devices or florescent tubes on larger HD TVs, computer monitors, etc...
On mobile devices they also add a tiny semi mirror like film between the backlight and the panel to let the sunlight reflected by the mirror film to make the image more readable outdoors and to reduce the power consumption as well, BUT to let the sunlight goes through the panel then reflected back, they should reduce dark(black colors/filters), this would make the picture a bit washed out and with grayish blacks when u watching a content indoors...
But on AMOLED(adaptive matrix organic LED) displays each pixel is a tiny led which lights up and changes its color by itself and theres no backlight needed
so, e.g when an image is white on the particular area they are ON, have white color and consume some needed energy(depends on the brightness), but when on that particular area the image should be black, they remain absolutely OFF and no energy would draw,(LCD's baclight remains ON all the time no matter the image is bright or dark) this system has lots of benefits,... Like, higher contrast levels, more vivid colors, blacks are as black as they are, more brightness, almost 180 degree of angle of veiw, less power consumption and so on...
theres only one disadvantage though, since theres no mirror under the panel the sun legibility would rather low comparing to lcd ones and to clash with the sunlight outdoors, leds should become as bright as they can so this would suck too much energy from the battery...

But almost EVERYONE admits that an AMOLED screen has absolutely better picture than its older brother TFT LCD...And the omnia hd's display is yet the best in its class(360*640 16m color) AND WILL remain one of the best in its class...

I think i explained everything and gave you all the evidences to show the OHD's display advantages over the satio
BTW, im not a SE hater and definitely not wanted to ruin the satio here and i believe the satio has lots of benefits like 12mpxl camera good look,...
I also not gonna continue this argue with you anymore...So, case closed...

        cheers,
        have fun...

So when u go to buy a particular size LCD TV and u get 2 choices of different resolutions (HD and non-HD) wud u not consider the higher resolution? And are companies trying to fool us by selling higher resolution/definition TV's at higher prices???

The higher the pixels on a screen the sharper the image becomes with less jaggies and edges...

and i guarantee u, plz try Satio and Omnia HD together and play the same videos of 640x360 on both...i saw it with my own eyes...and i was pretty satisfied with wat i observed...i m just here to share my experience...

your comparison is like e.g a 21" TV has better and sharper image than a same res 29" one...

I was so close to getting this unit. I decided agaist it for now, as iv read so much on the phone. Things iv heard are it somtimes freeze up, not many apps, battery life, it can be slow, ect... I think I will wait a while to see how things go for updates. Im getting the iphone 3GS for now. I didnt really want it but its proven and I hate Blackberrys. I hope my concerns are unwarrented but Ill leave it to you guys who have the phone to let me know. Thanks..

Software problems are likely to happen during its first release. Have you guys remembered the 5800 FW problem!! That was really frustrating!! The n86 had a problem after release too!! The n97 has had some problems as well!! And the Omnia HD has been released with some lack on its firmware! Besides, most problems about this phone are from networks with different firmware.
